  1. New Schedule Announced

Part 1 - FSU, UCF, SYR - I think we start 1-2. Likely 'cuse, but we might steal one against either Florida school. Part 2 - Lville, CLEM, BC, ND - This brings us to 2-5, BC being the most winnable. Part 3 - PITT, MIA, Dook, State - We can win 3 of these, any of the 4 could be the loss. I...
  2. New Schedule Announced

We close the season with 4 winnable games after the second bye, in PITT, MIA, DUKE, NCSU. If the season lasts that long, and we get a chance to gel by then, we could end the season on a high note.
  3. Why a 15-team conference could work for football (yep, another realignment thread)

I do wonder if there will be positive unintended consequences from this whole "adjusted season" that is 2020. It would be great if the NCAA would scrap their division requirement for a championship game, and all future seasons could do what we're doing this season - just let the two best teams play.
  4. Why a 15-team conference could work for football (yep, another realignment thread)

I agree that ND will remain independent for as long as they can. Honestly, I thought this was an interesting thing to think through. Re: 6 vs 8 games, see forensiczbuzz's post above. With three pods, thats a permanent and a rotating for each of the other two. "In your scenario the five best...
  5. Why a 15-team conference could work for football (yep, another realignment thread)

Hey everyone. I don't post a lot, but the general lack of sports has me getting antsy. Here's a thought I had this morning. There's a lot of talk right now about how the ACC would react if ND makes the move to permanent football member. Usually, this is about who would be the potential 16th...
  6. The ACC will delay the start of competition for all fall sports until at least Sept. 1

I had the same mindset until I saw the reasons behind it. If you're only playing conference games, the conference can mandate testing and safety protocol. If all P5 conferences agree to the same protocol, you can keep the kids safe if all games are between P5 teams. Who knows what the FCS...
  7. 2020 ACC Baseball

I'm not looking to downplay the level of competition, but as was mentioned in the Auburn thread, they haven't beat anyone yet. Something like a 15-58 (per @FredJacket) record for teams they've beaten. FSU should have a much harder midweek schedule, and I'm hoping it bleeds into their weekend...
  8. Virginia Tech

Struggling with RISP is going to hurt us...eventually. But tonight, going 1-10 was just enough.
  9. Virginia Tech

I thought we had it in the 8th, with the bases loaded and one out. But this works too. The offense was fine tonight. It was just one of those games where we couldn't string anything together. We stole one, but we were still the better team.
  10. OSU

Won game 1 with explosive offense. Game 2 with some shut down pitching (one hit!?). Good to see Cort pitch so well.
  11. Ga Southern

    We stole it, but a W is a W.
  12. GT / Louisville

Our starting 5 is so talented. It's nice to see our boys pull it together.
  13. Random GT football sighting

Always nice to see! I haven't tried YouTube TV, but we changed from sling to Hulu when football started. Very happy with it. Note: if you're already paying for hulu, there's a small savings from the bundle. So it ended up being the most cost-effective option that had ACC Network.
  14. Path to the ACCCG

Well, all three games that could effect tech went our way. Miami beats Pitt, UNC beats Duke, Lville beats UVA. I know it's not likely, but it sure is fun to have a prayer when it's almost November.
  15. Bright Spots

My big takeaway is that these kids can ball. We have athletes. It's going to be an uphill battle, and there's a lot of growing to do. But this was WEEK ONE against the BEST TEAM IN THE COUNTRY. I can see the groundwork, and I think bowl eligibility is not some impossible goal. This wasn't much...
  16. James Graham is the future

He looks good, but I'm not sure if it's the first strong D anymore.
  17. ACC Network Updates

Recent Hulu switcher here. When you create an account, you set a home zip code. I was unable to log in away from home on roku or smart tv, but it does let you do it from your phone or laptop, and even cast it to a tv.
  18. ACC Network Updates

The tweet references thier own website. It's not the ACCN, it's ACC Extra. The on demand thing we've all had for a year. Thier own staff have been mixing those up for months.
  19. ACC Network Updates

Haha. So an uninformed customer service rep cost them.
  20. ACC Network Updates

Slings's customer service told me they wouldnt have it. Ive been a customer for 3 years or so, but dropped them yesterday for Hulu Live. Made sure to include why I left on my exit questionnaire. I really only have tv for sports.
