In the RPI, a win today nets us -14 points, and a loss -70. Could be worse, IMO.

That may have been written before last night's game, but at this point sweeping Pitt means we win the Coastal.

The Miami one was the hardest for me to swallow. That batter had like a .450 BA. First was open too, if I recall. Shouldn't have pitched to him.

So far this season, we've only had 4 sweep situations on Sunday. Northwestern (lost it late), Louisville (crumbled in the bot 9), Clemson (blew a big early lead), and W Carolona, which is a different animal. Even if we're up 10 going into the last inning, I'll be nervous until the final out!

RPI needs report says we're essentially a lock for top 16, and we can get top 8 if we win out, for what it's worth. That's taking into account that we play Pitt, too.

I'm having trouble remembering...do the lower two seeds play the first game? Makes me wonder why they're "pods" instead of just having game one be a play-in game to get to the higher seed. Unless it's more an opportunity to build resumes if you're a bubble team?

We're 56 points behind Lville. If they lose, they drop 32 points. Closer though!

Jackets win, Pitt beats the Tarholes. WF unable to top the Canes. We gain a game on UNC (1 game plus tiebreaker) but don't hold any wiggle room with Miami. Not a bad Friday night of baseball.

He only threw like 13 pitches, so we may see him again. Good win!
