I don't understand how teams sub-.500 in conference play are seriously considered. To me, it's a lot like CFB playoff consideration for teams that didn't even win their conference.
I missed that the game got moved. Saw your comment, checked the score and saw the beginning of something scary in the box score.
I managed to turn on the game just in time to watch a single pitch by Luke to end the game.
So many of our wins are on the cusp of the Q1 designation. Our resume could be anywhere from "ok" to "pretty damn good" and we don't have that much control over it.
I'm jumping on this thread so I can get notifications. I feel similarly - Tori was great. Daniel isn't too bad himself, he just has far less Tech-specific content. I remember Tori even posting baseball articles in 2019. It was awesome.
If I'm ranking our remaining opponents in terms of odds to win, it looks something like this:
Duke
BC
NCSU
Pitt
Miami
ND
Clemson
I playing like we did against Lville, I think 3 more wins is reasonable. Likely Duke, one of NCSU/BC, and then surprise someone else.
Not GT-specific, but I've been listening to a couple good ACC podcasts.
"Basketball Conference Podcast" (name is a bit tongue in cheek; it's a football podcast) is run by a GT guy and a VT guy. Joey Weaver is formerly of the From the Rumble Seat blog.
Roddy Jones started a new one this season...
That would be pretty cool. It is almost certainly the best OOC game all season, for anyone.
The last time we had Gameday was my very first game as a freshman, 2006 with ND. Campus was nuts. I was spoiled forever. I want that again.
That writer answering questions for GT seems very confident with his answer. Not sure where he's getting that confidence.
FWIW, I also think it'll be Sims. But at least I'm acknowledging that it's a guess.
Andy Demetra is on Packer and Durham right now. Essentially, just coach speak. A synopsis, for whatever it's worth:
-They've all had moments where they look like they should be the starter.
-We will likely see multiple QBs on Saturday.
-He did not offer a guess.
This is exactly why I'm thinking Sims. It's going to be like 2017 when Marshall surprised us, trotting out and torching Tenn, even in our loss.
Even post-3O, the run game is our strength. Use it.
I heard Kelly Quinlan interviewed on some radio show last week. He said he figured James Graham to be QB4 at the moment.
According to him, having seen them play a little, Sims was the best dual-threat and Gleason was the best pocket passer (I think he used the term "coach on the field").
