Nothing would make me happier than Tennessee losing to Ohio State and Texas losing to Clemson in the first round of the playoffs and then UGA losing to whoever they play out of Indiana and ND (would prefer Indiana out of hatred of ND, Rudy was offside)
Schools are not paying this money. The NIL isn't coming from the AA, the NCAA has no ability to cap it. I am actually surprised that NIL collectives are as involved with coaches and AAs as they have become
This all really started with a few athletes having huge social media followings and...
Of the list Colorado would be the dumbest of all moves. Sanders is going to the NFL and Deion will have little to no motivation after that. Auburn and K State must be throwing a huge bag of money at him because those two teams are going no where. I could understand Alabama and Penn State as...
I have been saying this for a while. How many times can you go to the boosters and say you need $500k for a player before the boosters can't give any more? This is especially true if the results on the field aren't commensurate with the NIL's being handed out.
I just don't see how college...
NIL by the rules can't be a pay for play contract. So, I don't think you will find that language in any players deal. I would imagine the most that could be in there is that the player has to be on a certain team but nothing past that.
I don't see anyone ripping on Singleton. I think most everyone that is even remotely saying anything negative is merely recognizing that he is probably in a better situation here than most schools that will be potentially offering him more NIL money.
I have little doubt that if he came to GT...
I doubt Petty had anything to do with Singleton's decision.
Good luck to Singleton out there. Have a feeling this is going to be a Nate McCollum or Ahmarean Brown type situation.
He may garner a bigger NIL in the beginning but I doubt he is going to become a bigger part of any teams offense...
Perhaps we should. Especially in the 12 team playoff world.
If we did that though everyone would be on here bitching about no good home game match ups.
Always hoped he was going to come in and be a force. Those pre-season injuries really derailed what could have been a truly special player.
This guy exemplifies why more players should choose schools for school. Even though football hasn't worked out he has a degree that means something for...
I would assume that Chase Lane would be the main target in that scenario, as he is our #3 WR.
I really wish Blackburn hadn't been injured but he only has 1 catch this season.
