ESPN: Too Negative at Georgia Tech?

Extend his contract for 10 years if it makes you happy, just don't add a penny to his buyout. But if you are in favor of rewarding a 6-6 record with a contract extension and also extending the buyout for one more year, then you and I are 180 degrees apart on our thinking.

    Offensive Tempo

You don't think the defense gains an advantage when it's 3rd and 15 and they are allowed to bring in 2 pass rushers and swap out a LB for an extra defensive back?

    Offensive Tempo

Just for the record, you don't have to go no huddle to stop the other team from substituting. You just can't make substitutes yourself. The other team can still attempt to make substitutes if you don't, but all you have to do in that case is snap the ball before that player gets off the field...

ESPN: Too Negative at Georgia Tech?

If Bobinski extends CPJ's contract purely on the basis of going at least 6-6 then Bobinski should be fired. At the end of the season, Johnson has one more year on his contract, so he would already be on contract for the next year. Any further extensions should be earned by doing something...

    Ty Griffin to Oregon

Not possible. I was reliably told by many on these message boards that we were his only offer and he wasn't good enough to go somewhere else. Interestingly enough, I keep hearing much of the same about Myles Autry.

Lets white out the Miami game with the help of Twitter

How about we start shaming the alumni who live in the Atlanta area and don't attend games, rather than try and anger the ones who actually do come to the games?

    Offensive Tempo

I don't care if we go HUNH or speed up the tempo. But I've wondered for a long time why we don't implement some non-verbal, sign method of calling in plays. Whether it's the cue-card system or the backup QB's signing it in method, either way would allow us to do that without having to make...

    Update on Myles Autry

If you're going to anonymously trash a kid on the internet, at least try to get your facts correct. 1. He did in fact have other offers on signing day that he could have taken 2. Who is King Cinco? I believe MA goes by a KingOcho moniker on Twitter. 3. Applying your logic, your name is Billy...

    Update on Myles Autry

I completely understand. I use Twitter to communicate baseball game news and schedule changes to my team; otherwise, I don't even think about it. However, today's youth look at it as a live, real-time journal that can be read by others and use it to post anything and everything out there.

    Update on Myles Autry

Well, I for one am glad that you don't have a vote then. Man, guys....do everyone a favor and climb down off the high horses for a few minutes. The kid was one of the top recruits in the country as a junior and then hurt his knee. Yes, Tech stood by him while SOME of the other schools bailed...

    Update on Myles Autry

He already qualified. Just waiting on paperwork to make it through the clearinghouse.

A few team notes before camp

I think it's just scholarship athletes. Otherwise, you'd end up seeing schools like Bama have 55 "walk ons" who all scored perfect scores on the SAT but couldn't catch a football if it fell into their hands from 6 inches above them.

    Update on Myles Autry

Just my own personal opinion, but based on a few conversations last night, here's what I expect: Myles completed his summer course work that he needed to be cleared by the NCAA clearinghouse. He was waiting on the paperwork from Norcross High School to make its way through the labyrinth of...

    3 dismissed, 1 suspended

Actually, I wonder what happens in the states of Colorado and Washington? With recreational pot being legal there, are the players still subjected to marijuana testing?

    3 dismissed, 1 suspended

I have smoked pot back when I was in college and if they legalize it, I may smoke it again occasionally. Until and if they do that, I won't do it. However, I do believe this issue (pot) will become a non-issue within 6 - 8 years at the outside, because by that time, it will likely be legal in...

Ken Suguria Article: Johnson offers praise, updates at media days

So we're going to quit passing those extra 2 times per game we did last year? Historically, we have averaged 12 passes per game under CPJ. Last year, we averaged 14. Not exactly like we went all "run and shoot" on people. I get what he means about going back to the TO but to say that we are...

I found this quote from CPJ interesting

Very interesting. But didn't he also say at the beginnning of last year that last year's line was the most talented yet?

Why not have a Dawgnight Equivalent ??

I did see his dad...he was at the game when we played him. Like I said, one of the kids on the team told me that about him, that's why I said I wasn't too sure how reliable it was.
