You could very well be correct. I don't claim to be that much of an expert that I can tell the difference.
When CPJ first came to GT, I wanted to find out about the TO so I went out and read a whole bunch of info on the web about it and found a few good sites with some decent detail. Here is a...
It's not a mid-line; that's a regular TO play where the QB reads the DE and turns the play up inside. On a mid-line, the play side guard wouldn't be drive blocking; he would be releasing to the second level and looking to execute a seal block on the weakside outside linebacker or strong safety.
Because all 4 of those teams I named have larger, athletic DT's. At least two of those teams (Clemson & VT) often line those DT's up in a 1 technique and have them both shoot their respective A gaps and attempt to disrupt the mesh. With the wide offensive line splits we run, it's virtually...
I doubt you see it a lot versus Miami, VT, UGA or Clemson. As long as they stack the DT's inside our tackles, it's difficult to run the midline effectively.
Also, I'm not sure how effective JT would be running the midline. I know he has the speed to take it to the house if he can get through...
LOL, I was thinking similar, going "Since Emmert mentioned that he thought our little schedule cards with the sponsors on them were inappropriate, the NCAA will probably announce that we're on death penalty notice"
B1G isn't interest in Tech anymore since we gave our media rights (television) to the ACC until 2020.
My guess would be that we're going to play in the 2015 Chic-Fil-A Kickoff classic.
No. I think you're right. He's a completely different type of player than Attouchu.
Attouchu was a quick, explosive guy who could bend and get around players primarily with a speed rush, although he could use his hands and a spin move to get inside as well.
I think Merriweather could well...
Yeah, you got me. Two things wrong in one post. However, throughout your posting history, I've always considered you to be pretty much a douche. Seems I got that one spot on.
Eric Crouch was the only Nebraska QB to win a Heisman and he ran for 3000 yards and passed for 4000 yards in his career there. I don't think one of our QB's is going to throw for more than he runs for. And Sam Bradford was the only Oklahoma QB ever to win the Heisman and he was a pocket...
I don't think a QB in this offense can win the Heisman. It's not a popular offense in the minds of most of the people who vote for the Heisman, so unless everyone else in contention just totally hosed everything up, I don't think you'll see a triple option QB getting serious Heisman consideration.
