nothing new here regarding GT, but interesting/noteworthy math nonetheless
  2. Coaching Carousel 6 - You can't make everyone happy. You are not bacon.

As someone who has experience in Kentucky, Indiana, and Connecticut high school gyms, I can attest to your statement. Bullseye. There is nothing like Indiana high school basketball. The mythology of it is legitimate. It is real. Maybe not in every town at every school on every night, but...
  3. Biancardi interview

that might have been what he was aiming at. can't recall his exact phrasing.
  4. Biancardi interview

https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/packer-and-durham/id1476093125?i=1000517415235 Good interview. Starts at the 25 min mark. He shares some detailed thoughts on the emerging impact of transfer portal. He suggests/thinks every P5 needs to hire a "roster mgt" coach for year-round communicating...
  5. What is Josh Pastner's Ceiling?

Moser's defense is great for his league and his players. And it can be great in other leagues with other rosters too. But it may not be the optimal approach for more athletic/sizable rosters. I have not looked at Loyola's forced turnover stats, but even if I did I would not trust the "turnovers"...
  6. Arizona HC Search and Pastner Implications

I'm sure you have written about it before, but I missed it, and I'm curious to hear more details... what are the details behind how and why Swartz and Rev have been so crucial? (I'm not doubting it or questioning it in any way. I just want to hear more of the how and why. Perhaps it's as simple...

  10. Ush TV

i'm copying this tweet into this thread just because it is so awesome. it's not traditional Ush TV, but it's great nonetheless...
  11. Josh Pastner

  12. article: Emmert NCAA TV deal

While experts are starting to view this deal as one-sided for CBS and Turner in real-time, that’s only going to become incrementally more glaring as the years go on. (ACC commissioner John Swofford’s final ACC contract, which runs through 2036, is already being viewed as a similar financial...
  13. Returning players for 2021-22

great point. athletic defensive specialist on 2nd unit who can defend inside and out. can switch the PNR and is able to keep up with 2nd unit guards. could totally see that. they love versatile athletic defenders with length to allow for switching. but on the other end of the court, i would...
  14. Returning players for 2021-22

agree with all of this. against those long athletic players going 1v1 i thought his production dropped significantly. (perhaps not always in the boxscore because of putbacks transition etc, but in 1v1 matchups. but scouts aint looking at boxscores and they aint looking at film of him going...
