Athens wouldn’t let Paul Johnson inside the city limits
Johnson would win just as big with the huge O-line, defense and running backs they have over there

Just like it is difficult for a defense to prepare for Tech’s run game when they have limited time, it is difficult for Tech to prepare for a passing game of a team that can pass.
Yeah if he ran kirby’s Offense ! Paul would be more successful there than at GT , but uga or any other powerhouse program wouldn’t touch the 3option with a 10’ poleJohnson would win just as big with the huge O-line, defense and running backs they have over there

If CPJ had the Bama, UGa, Clemson, LSu, talent at GT we'd be in the NC playoff picture too.

Ok how does it limit defensive recruits.Exactly,
The scheme is only as.good as the players we have. Weve see this in the past, but some could argue that the scheme limits recruits as much as the school.

We have a current member here on GTSwarm who son was asked by Heupel to work for him at UCF. This GTSwarm member said his son thinks he would take the Job. I’ve also now heard twice that he’s not the happiest at UCF. I’ll also add I think his system would help in recruiting, especially with the QB spot. You think we could get Heupel? I don't. With their academics, he can recruit almost as good of a players to UCF, play an easier schedule, and bide his time until a bigger offer comes along.
And did not have to worry if they made any progress toward a degree.Rivals didn’t keep up with recruiting that much then , but O’Leary & Ross got us nfl talent
But the contract said he actually had to recruit, so he turned it down.Auburn offered him their job according to CPJ’s agent and best buds who would have no reasons to lie...
Unless you have something new to add...we get it. You don't like CPJ. You're ready for something new/different. You don't have to keep saying it over and over.
Hopefully this will convince Paul Johnson to retireNobody adds anything new. We have the same people blaming the BoR/ADs/Academics/Blah blah blah.
We just got blown out by UGA, a topic is started about firing coaches and you don't expect it to turn into one about Johnson? Really?
But rivals don’t agree with your assessment
I would not hold my breath on that one. I figured he would have innovated more early on in order to attract true dual threat QB's, talented receivers, etc. My biggest surprise is that he was unable to attract big time running backs (like Dwyer). That being said it's been the lack of defense throughout the CPJ era that has prevented them from reaching the next level.
This was the best answer to that other threadWho gives a dayamm about what we do? It's all about what Paul Johnson and his staff does or doesn't do!
I did not even think about our football spend being 61 out of 65 in the P5. Talk about a deal killer for a new head coach.
New Coach interview question:
"So let me understand this. You are truly the bottom of the barrel from a spending perspective, Most kids I will not be able to recruit because of the academic issues. What kids I do get in will have to work hard in school and limit how much time I can spend with them. If they can even stay eligible. I will not be able to bring in transfers because none of them will meet the AP requirements. I wont be able to bring in any good assistant coaches due to a lack of money, the fan atmosphere is weak on game-day, The fans donate to the school and not to athletics. You fired a winning coach with the expectations that I will be able to compete with the Clemson's and Georgia's of the world? NOT INTERESTED!!!"
How's that possible? They run that sexy new fangled shotgun option and pass stuff that so many want GT to run no matter what.
