DeepSnap checking in...... Nice to see some familiar fonts on here.......

Originally from Dalton, have lived coast to coast & in the UK (5 yrs) & Germany (1 yr) while either in the Navy (6 years active, 24 reserve with 2 major recalls) or US Civil Service. Toss in a decade of wandering in the wilderness of the private sector thrown in for good measure/perspective. Huntsville area has been home plate for the last 25 years. Grandkids live in Austin & live & breathe all things burnt orange. Wife's family is all "the other UT/Big Urnge" - Tennessee.

FB Letterwinner 1969 & 1970...... Got my nickname from being the first longsnapper specialist at GT, NOT from being "The Man Who (Literally) Got the Ball Rolling (Twice) to Get Rid of Bud Carson."

Graduated BS Textiles 1972

Hey guys,

I heard about this site from a friend as I've been scouring the net for Tech forums over the past couple of years.
  • I'm a 3rd generation GT alumni!
  • I graduated in '16 with an ISYE degree
  • I've lived in Atlanta my whole life, and have been going to Tech games for as long as I can remember.
  • My most fond memory is that '04 Tech basketball season. I used to lay on the ground, as close as I could get to my big screen TV, and I watched every single game. I can still picture the Jarret Jack steal vs BC like it was yesterday. Damn that was such a good team.
  • My favorite player was Ismael and I actually saw him at a basketball game this season. I yelled his name and he came over and shook my hand.
  • I've been a Tech basketball season ticket holder since I graduated, and just bought football season tickets for the first time this year.
  • I currently work in finance, in Alpharetta, and live here with my wife and 2 and a half year old daughter. Yes, if you do the math I had her my final year in school.

My dad graduated from GT in the mid 60’s. He took me to my first game in the early 70’s. I think Pepper Rodgers was the coach at the time. I’ve had season tickets myself on and off for the last 15 years.

My first game was also a Pepper Rodgers coached game. Mine wasn’t a winning one, so I hope yours was better!

I've posted some over in the recruiting threads, and hadn't seen this one previously.

I'm an ISyE grad, played on the football team, and now work in manufacturing down in Middle Georgia.

I miss Atlanta all the time, and would do a lot of bad things to get my hands on a Korean Philly Cheesesteak from Fred's right now.

I'm an ISyE major. I transferred in from a couple of different colleges. One being a rival ACC school that's also focused on technology. I'm from Forsyth County, Georgia. I became a Georgia Tech fan when I became a student here. Yellow has always been my favorite color though so being a Yellow Jacket fits me.

Yellow is great. Gold is even better. (y)

Hey all. HUGE Tech fan from Canada. Like many other Canadians I don't have a tie to any colleges in the states but as a college football fan I had to pick a team. Maybe it was the gold, maybe it was the option, maybe it was buzz which lead to my decision, who knows. I have been to two Tech games before; 2014 Orange Bowl and 2019 home opener vs Alcorn State. Looking to come down to Atlanta again for this season but I'm still in college myself so it's hard to make trips during school. Any suggestions for this season?

Welcome! I'd say the georgia game is always a good choice, but it'll be expensive lol

Come for an ACC game like Duke or UNC if we're playing them at home. Or come down for homecoming and take a look at all the traditions - mini 500, cake race, wreck parade, etc. Those were my favourite parts of college

Hey all - I'm an alum that just passed my 20 year anniversary of getting out. I've attended all but 2 home football games in the past 23 seasons (and I'm still bitter about those 2).
I've lurked here on and off for years, but finally actually joined. I've been active on another site for years, but this one seems to have more activity.
