Wright State is just screaming that the AD and coach hated each other. No other reason to fire him.
Yeah, dtm, the kg01 corner is throwing in the towel.
A couple of odd firings in the Horizon League. Jeter wasn't bad. Was kinda slightly above average as far as I could tell. I think a lot of these AD's will be suffering from a strong case of 'be careful what you wish for'-itis (looking at you, Wright St. AD).

Speaking of "be careful what you wish for", anyone catch the ESPN announcers basically telling GT fans exactly that about CBG?!! After talking about how Bennett took a while to get going at UVA, they then went on to throw hossanas at CBG, and telling fans that our program has a better chance of sliding backwards than moving up if we let CBG go. OK, guys...
CBG has a lot of guys in his corner apparently.

This isn't totally apples to apples. Virginia's two best seasons have been Bennett's 6th and 7th year. His first 5 were still better than Gregory's, but the disparity isn't as large as you referenced above.
This would be a more accurate comparison:
Virginia Cavaliers[42](Atlantic Coast Conference) (2009–present)
2009–10Virginia 15–16 5–11 T–9th
2010–11Virginia 16–15 7–9 T–7th
2011–12Virginia 22–10 9–7 T–4th NCAA Second Round
2012–13Virginia 23–12 11–7 T–4th NIT Quarterfinals
2013–14Virginia 30–7 16–2 1st NCAA Sweet Sixteen
Virginia: 106-60 (.638) 48–36 (.571)
Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets (Atlantic Coast Conference) (2011–present)
2011–12 Georgia Tech 11–20 4–12 11th
2012–13 Georgia Tech 16–15 6–12 9th
2013–14 Georgia Tech 16–17 6–12 11th
2014–15 Georgia Tech 12–19 3–15 14th
2015–16 Georgia Tech 20–14 8-10 10th
Georgia Tech: 75–85 (.465) 27–61 (.307)
Also keep in mind the league added Notre Dame, Louisville, and Pitt a few years ago, which makes the conference schedule noticeably more difficult. I would argue Bennett's win % his first few years would be different had he been playing in today's league.
Not making excuses for Gregory, but the argument you laid out above is not really fair.

Would anyone here want Scott drew if Baylor cans him for being a moron in the post season?
He can at least recruit.

With respect to the admirable way he's rebuilt that program (even if rumors of him being sleazy as hell are true) following that awful & unreal murder scandal, I respectfully say HELL NO I don't want Scott Drew anywhere near our campus.
