@MadDome: Enfield was first choice and on board. Asked to make Dixon's Pitt salary. Pitt said no. They end up with Stallings.

As a Pitt fan -
This makes me crazy !

My only comfort is hope that Tech wouldn't be this shortsighted

Per Goodman, Beard on the verge of signing a 5yr deal with UNLV.

I still say buyer beware on Beard. Really early for him, hasn't shown enough.

I thought Dunleavy, Sr-to-Tulane looked weird. He was interviewing for NBA jobs as recently as last offseason. This morning, on NBARadio, they proposed an interesting theory on the hiring. His son Baker is an asst. at Villanova. Did Sr. take the job to then hire his son to his staff as a means for helping him along in his career?

If they do well, Sr. can step aside to make way for his son to get a quick route to a head gig. Not too far fetched. I'd do it if I were him.

Guess we will wait and see.
C62 just took our friendly feud to the next level. Haha

:ROFLMAO: Your move, Peac.

Some funny tidbits from WrightSt board, apparently they're worried that they're now competing with GT for Dayton's own, Ron Hunter for their HC post. Cite a few GeorgiaSt board posters who say Hunter-to-GT makes sense.

Settle down, little brother. This is like some rando asking Rihanna out on a date. Sure he's a dude and technically eligible and all but ... she don't want you, broseph.

WrightSt and the Panthers can tickle-fight it out for Hunter. And lol @ him for declining to comment on the GT job. I'll go all mid-'90's on you ... as if.

Sorry, had to get that off my chest.

Yeah. Coach Chair as Lebatard calls him, can stay seated.

Yeah but now @ChasonBaller is gonna be pissed at us running down his boy Coach Ron.

No kidding.. That is surprising! He is so irrelevant, I didn't know I was still either.

We're not buying it, c62. ;) You need to work on getting your boy @DaBiz back on here to give his opinions. I'd be curious to hear his recent thoughts.

No idea what's so appealing about this St. Louis job but it's drawing a lot of attention.

That said, Leon Rice actually has a really good coaching record at BSU. Long-time Gonzaga guy.

I am not sure who we should get, but the person should have experience recruiting in big cities like Atlanta. Recruiting here has got to be different than recruiting in Kansas or Idaho. He should also have experience recruiting 5* and 4* players. Not that he has to have signed a bunch, but understands they have different expectations and experiences with recruiters. Of course, he should have demonstrated an ability to build a team that can win games against good competition. And, he needs to understand Ga Tech expects its student athletes to be successful in the classroom also.
