Just read the Georgia Tech offense is #1 in the country in fewest 3-and-outs and #5 in the country in % of possessions that end in touchdowns (43%). Could find the first stat (CPJ said it in his teleconference today), but the 2nd one on TD/possessions I was able to validate via FEI. The only teams we're behind on TD/possessions are Alabama, Oklahoma, UCF and Ohio.
Is the 3 and out stat an average per possession or is it a total number? We have much fewer possessions than most teams.

I don't think a 1 loss team would be to happy to play Tech , and I can see them losing their next game. Is the old Auburn coach still there at Cincinnati?

Pitt, winning the coastal, cannot drop below Tier 1

An option offense cannot be a "great" offense if it cannot run the option. Johnson's reliance on the QB keeper, with either QB, acknowledges his grudging acceptance of that while he adapts to a) keep b) follow) c) occasional midline and finally the rarer speed option, and that is GT 2018. I think that is good coaching and I hope in '19 we have all of the above and a QB who can read and pitch the option. No offense in football has the beauty of it. Was it the VT player who noted after the game that Tech lines up, "says they are better and tougher than you are" and runs right at you? I thought that a quite unremarked acknowledgement of Johnson's game.
We are not an option offense. We are a spread offense who has option, power, and zone series included in the playbook. The great thing about the flexbone formation is you don't have to run option if it is not the best tool for the job. If the team isn't defending the zone option (or as you call it qb keep), then why would we call another play? Call the play giving you over 6 yards per play until they stop you. The offense gives us the ability to use the right tool for the job.
