It has varied, but always during the afternoon. Last year was early afternoon (they had a season ticket holder scrimmage and brunch prior to it). Previous years have been later in afternoon, around 3-5. They normally announce about a month or so in advance.
Last year was the second Saturday in August (the 12th) since the report day was so close to the first weekend. Not sure what report day is this year, but throwing it out there as a possibility.
Really like the modern look. If you've seen the renderings for library renovation and Coda building on Spring Street, this glass-oriented exterior is similar to those.
This was posted in general thread but thought it deserved its own since it'll span the entire offseason. Love the quality of this, definitely a cinematic feel to it.
There are no guarantees, but the one from last year was/is available in the GT Bookstore (saw it a few weeks ago), so assume this one would end up there as well.
Realities:
1) There are several TV darlings in the ACC: Clemson, FSU, Miami and maybe Louisville. For the other schools in the ACC, it's unlikely you'll get a primetime kickoff unless you are playing one of those schools.
2) Noon/12:30p kickoffs aren't as bad perception-wise as in the past...
I called to ask. It's an NCAA rule about using names of student-athletes. Same reason you could get a number 21 jersey while Calvin and Dwyer were playing without a name on the back.
