This article could be written about most D1 schools. Collins had his issues but recruiting was way down the list of his problems. He hired Watson which was a huge plus and was touted early for going out and recruiting metro schools that were neglected in the past.
It just seems to be real lazy...
I put zero weight in this article. 500+ public high schools and 250 private schools in the state. We focus on the top 100 players and a hand full of under the radar guys.
Of the top 100, several are at the same school (Westlake and Grayson are good examples) and 600 schools that have no Div 1...
So much of what I’m seeing is just regurgitation. Our new head coach is well connected and can find young coaching talent. Once again, his time at UCF and Bama are a huge part of his value.
I’m actually interested in seeing the new name (if any) that we are not familiar with.
