And even with all those guys the vastly more talented defense carried us until November.

Even the hated Patenaude would’ve won at least 6 during that stretch.
I’m not going to defend Gailey because I was one of the loudest detractors of his, but outside of what CGC will face no one faced a stronger stretch of Ugag teams.
If he got to face decline Mark Richt instead of peak Mark Richt who knows what his record would’ve been?
The easy ACC thing is BS. We had a higher percentage of ACC teams ranked during GOLs reign than any subsequent coach.
If GOL stayed he’d absolutely have won championships or if he left a year earlier and Fridge took over the same thing.
He was leaving anyway. Read the posts directly above yours. He’s not on the team so he’s irrelevant for 2019. This OL that Collins inherited is not good. You cannot scheme around OL problems.
Rankin has as many as our current offense. Williams and Howard have as many individually as our current OL. There’s a reason we are flipping the roster at this position. Just like there is a reason we are bringing in four WR.
Gonna be a lot of freshman playing in 2019.
This is what we were promised in 2008. What ended up happening is we ran Navy offense with Navy quality players.
It was a self-fulfilling prophecy. We needed to use the offense to make up for a talent void (that didn’t exist) and all it did was create an actual talent void.
