On a side note, I am pretty sure we surpassed 4,000 yards rushing this year. Something that's only been done once before here (2014). I could be wrong as I'm going from memory...but I am even more confident in saying that with 1 game left, we'll certainly finish as the #2 rushing attack ever.

Kind of makes it all worth while really.

So if nobody "throws money," how the hell do you expect any change?

I said it will only help a little. The problem is a head coach who is a subpar recruiter, an offense that is not even used much in high school anymore.

It doesn’t matter how much money the football program is allocated, the system is a hindrance to the program.

I disagree about the salaries part. Paul Johnson makes a little over $3million. Only about 25 schools pay over $4million for a HC and most of those schools are the usual suspects. Teddy was making like $800,000 a year which is pretty high for a DC. You could write a textbook on how bad the Hewitt contract was. We should pay more for better assistants, but overall we pay pretty good even if you suck (Teddy)

Poor effort today all the way around. I think our Coach played scared and told his defense early on, "I do not have any confidence in you" by going for it on fourth down several times with poor field position. Yeah they have better talent than we do but it could have been a more competitive game with better effort and coaching. At the end of the day I still love the Yellow Jackets and we just have to flush this one and get ready for a bowl game and hopefully a bit of redemption for the 2018 team.

Next year is new year and a new opportunity. Looking forward to it.

Go Jackets!

Your fans provide a mediocre environment. Your administration pays mediocre salaries. You have mediocre facilities. You have been ok with mediocrity for a long time, you just have had a series of coaches good enough to overcome the mediocrity they were handed.

So clearly there is something different about the institution and just because one coach fails doesn’t mean we are doomed because we don’t have as many fans as some others. We have never had the resources of the powers. We are below our historical standards. That is the point. GT is not as good as it can be.

Your all time winning percentage is .592. You are right at your historical standard.

There’s a lot more truth to this than many want to admit.

It is a truth that has always been and always will be. I am a GT fan because of the underdog role. I love fighting against the big boys with more resources. But I’ve never seen the fan base settle for where we are. We fired Gailey who never missed a bowl game for Christ’s sake. He would have never been fired in today’s environment. You guys would be loving him.

When people make these kind of all encompassing comments, it makes them look not very intelligent. Nothing is black and white. You are basically saying every member of the current team does not have any talent. See how that makes your comments come across as someone who is not capable have having an intelligent conversation with. It says, this poster is not worth listening to as he has nothing of value to contribute.

James Graham is loaded with talent. Among many others on this team.

As compared to those saying the BoR is the source of our issues, or saying that 95% of the players on teams we play against can’t write, or read, or get in GT, or will never make a living after college, or (again without supplying hard numbers) don’t have the SATs or GPAs. Good for the goose.......

We BETTER have some players with talent on our team. But what will happen with them?

And we certainly, after 11 years, have no reason to expect to get a greater number of players with talent.

Thanks for finding this. In order to even be in the top 25 we would need over $4M per year. A lot of head coaches with experience will not want to take the difficult path that Georgia Tech forces due to academics . It will greatly limit our coaching search. Just like calculus hinders our recruiting.

Not only does the tough academic requirements hinder our recruiting, it will also hinder any coaching search. People who are thinking, just get a new coach and life will be great again, live in a world of rainbows and unicorns.

Lol. How about the last 4 years? How long does Johnson ride on what he did with Gailey’s players? What’s the direction of our program? Les Miles won a national championship at LSU. At some point that didn’t matter because the program was going in the wrong direction.

Tell me why James Graham was not the QB the second half the game was over but in his usual stubborn way CPJ did not play him .This is the main thing I have against CPJ I believe you could have tommy Frazier on the bench and CPJ would not play him because he’s so stubborm
