Maybe I’m missing something, but it looks like they just give tickets to football players and coaches for their spring game. Ours is already free to anyone who cares to show up.
Yep. Looks like Oklahoma's spring game costs $10 to attend, $25 for a concert field pass

Time to start keeping tract of the weather for the spring game. So far so good, I wonder how many times this will change though.

Exactly, It'd be pretty silly for GT to send out free tickets to a free event. Now, it might be interesting to send out invitations and give them some perks if they show up like free hot dogs and sodas or maybe a hat or such. That stuff might be frowned upon by the NCAA, though.

There is no negative in trying to do what Oklahoma is doing with the high schools. Literally a no brainer. But we probably still won't do it

CPJ said that we do Friday night spring games for 2 reasons, 1 because it’s different, and 2 so the kids can take a long weekend off and go home if they would like to.

Pssh...its not about the kids and their weekends. It's about keyboard cowboys on message boards and what's convenient for us...

I like the idea of perks!! Perks that show we value people.

(Son gets the pee wee football teams a hosted walk thru his teams varsity hs locker rooms at games. The hosts are the jv players. Though they are not the starters the pee wee kids think they are gods. Makes the jv guys proud as well.)

On a similar vein , I would target 9th graders who are on freshmen team. They would love to wear thier jersey and are impressionable.

We are in atl w a ton of teams near by.
The recruiters select 100 hs and we send 20 tickets to head coach. Designate parking for school buses and requirec2 coaches.

Each 10 players w a coach could have an assigned scout team or red shirt player walk them thru meeting room / training room, by ramblin wreck, see buzz. Maybe some band folks or other athletes would help. Even the gt tutors could help. Then if a school has 10 players x years in a row and well behaved they move up to getting a walk along sidelines in pregame. If 2x years consecutive and by invitation only a coach and players get be escorted out on to the field thru the tunnel by a 1 st or 2nd team player.

Then up in the stands .

What if after game these kids had first 3 5 minutes on field to meet players. They would be pumped.

We need more buzz at bds.

Really? I didn't realize they had been carrying it.
Imagine me having just moved away from Atlanta last year when the Spring Game rolled around. I put it up on the big screen and built my night around watching it. Nachos, Coke...the whole bit.

Meanwhile, @MrsDrJacket was texting me pictures of her sitting up in the suite at Bobby Dodd with MrsCPJ. Oh well...

Thank goodness for the Livestream. We've got it on our calendar in case they do again!

I don't recall a drop of rain in Jacksonville when we saw you at the magnificent Taxslayer Bowl!
I know...that's what I'm worried about next Friday. The last time I was in Atl for a spring game it POURED! I hope I don't bring rain with me - I'LL BE BANNED IF I DO.
