Roof's coaching style at the end of halfs and games was that ridiculous prevent that never prevented anything. I thought I heard CPJ complain about it repeatedly, yet Roof almost never changed it. Cost us 3 points today and sucked the energy out of the stadium and I think CPJ thinks that sort of stuff is a big deal, especially if he has told the guy to cut it out. (Speculation on my part.)
It's the same **** 3 DC's later. At some point CPJ needs to suffer the consequences.

You know what WR's main job is to get open and catch passes? I thought that was their primary responsibility.
Not in an option based offense. But it is in my 11 yr old son’s flag football offense. In fact, they never block. I’ll shoot you a PM with their game schedule if you want. No blocking... it’s awesome!

Since we're talking about defense, I figured I may ask this question I was thinking about earlier today. Who is our best defender? Personally I can't say anyone stood out this year as a great player. AJ is supposed to be our best but besides the UNC game I didn't hear his name too often, unfortunately.
Just because you don't hear his name doesn't mean he's not doing his thing. He was in on a helluva lot of successful tackles today, although few and far between.

His last year was fairly bad at Auburn but the other 2 were top 20 efforts I'm almost certain. His defense at Penn St was also pretty good.
in 2008 before he took over at Auburn their D was 33rd in D efficiency, his first year was in 2009, they were 49th in D efficiency then 35th in 2010 and in 2011 90th. Penn state was ranked 7th in D efficiency the year before Roof got there and then 18th when he took over. Keep in mind at Penn State these were players that were already good and had been coached up by someone else. I like Roof but imo he hasn't done much at other places. His system works well when you have players like Bama has, we just don't have that at GT.

Yeah I think he was the most consistent for us this season even though he was nicked up a few times. I guess my point was we don't really have anyone that stands out like we used to with Burnett, Morgan, Attouchu, etc. We need those big time guys in order to have a successful D. I'm hoping some of our young guys like the Swillings can step up.

Lol not even close to true. Amazing the amount of hyperbole that’s being thrown around this Board.

O.K. Give me a 1000 yard receiver not names Thomas. How about a QB that passed for 3000 yards. How many wr's have had a 100 yard game? How many QB' have had a 300 yard game or even a game with over 250 yards passing.

Can't say I'm shocked. Roof does not bring anything to the table. He is a has been. GT needs a young energetic DC that can bring the heat and fire up the defense. I felt that Roof's lackadaisical attitude showed on the field plenty of times.
Why do you think another DC under CPJ will be any different than the past 3?
