IMO.......the potential to turn out badly outweighs any potential gain.Any who, I think this has the potential to work out very well in GT favor. The GTAA MUST NOT screw this up with the STH. If it is a smooth transition from our seats at BDS to MBS, and we get the majority of the income, and we WIN, this will be a great thing for our future. I know this decision wasn't a kneejerk thing, so I'm putting faith in CGC and ADTS that they got our best interests in mind when doing this.
Very true, Clemson, and UGA always almost a 50/50 split. It’s been 10 years since we had a good split for the UGA and Clemson games. Not true at all
My understanding is the ticket distribution for the ‘22 game with Clemson will be more favorable to us than our game against UT in ‘17 (50 - 50). However, the remaining 4 games will have the distribution of tickets more heavily weighted towards us.You said for 4/5 games. What did I miss? Why isn't it 5/5?
Because a night game on ESPN is more exposure than a 3pm game on ESPNU. These games aren’t guaranteed night games at BDS because uGA isn’t even a guaranteed night game when it’s at BDS.Someone please explain to me why you think we get more exposure from this than a game at Bobby Dodd.
People going to tune in just because it’s at MBS?

I mean, ill be there but this feels small time. Im not sure many other programs would have agreed to this.
It's a stupid decision by the GTAA in my opinionBecause a night game on ESPN is more exposure than a 3pm game on ESPNU. These games aren’t guaranteed night games at BDS because uGA isn’t even a guaranteed night game when it’s at BDS.
It’s all about money and recruiting. Maybe if we made BDS a better environment as fans the AD wouldn’t have felt he needed to make this move.
All these complainers are going to really go nuts when we become relevant in football. All big games at BDS are neutral games anyway, we get taken over by opposing fans for the big games. I was pleasantly surprised by our turnout vs Tennessee at MBS.
This is awesome work by TStan and Geoff.
So then why not just play every game at MBS?Exactly! This is the point. More exposure.
More revenue. Partnering with ATL and making GT a national football brand.
That looks like two teams playing a home and home in their local NFL stadiums instead of on campus. That is a bit different than one team giving up a bunch of already scheduled home games for what I guess is a money grab?
We just cheapened Bobby Dodd stadium big time
