Right center is very short, the posted dimensions aren’t correct. The right field line is 325 and it doesn’t get any deeper than 340 until very close to center. Add in the fact that the wind is almost always blowing out towards right field and you end up with a launching pad. If you’ve ever watched games at GT compared to other places you would know that GT’s right field plays smaller than almost any P5 park in the country.

Anything hit out to left was deserved, but there’s plenty of balls that get out to right that have no business being home runs.
Does this mean the field are marked incorrectly? Just trying to understand since the right field wall says 350?

Higher elevation & higher humidity will increase "carry" as well. Ga Tech sits around 1000' above sea level... without looking, I'm guessing that's near top of ACC. And humidity? Well... we've been there, right?

before the Rockies came into existence, atlanta fulton county stadium was the highest park in MLB

Chance to blow the game wide open with bases loaded and none out in bottom of 4th, then three straight called third strikes on Finley, Romano, and Jackson. Ugh! Still up 5-0.

Bottom of 4th - first two men on, then called third strike, force out, called third strike. 10 K’s by Tech “hitters” through 4 innings, most called third strikes right down the middle of the plate. Still up 5-1.

Another solid starting pitching performance today - this time by Finley. 5-1 in middle of 5th after he strands runner at 3rd on a called 3rd strike.

The HP ump today is another guy with a huge strike zone, but a lot of the Tech hitters’ called 3rd strikes have been right down the middle.

Wow, Siegel got a called 3rd strike on a pitch about a foot outside. Guess the umps got together after Game 1 and decided they didn’t want any more 21-walk games. Yesterday & today’s HP umps both with huge strike zones.
