VT is in the mountains lol
LOL, they are at about 2000'. UVa is only 600'. Even ND is 740'. Pitt is 1070'.
Are we high?

Does this mean the field are marked incorrectly? Just trying to understand since the right field wall says 350?Right center is very short, the posted dimensions aren’t correct. The right field line is 325 and it doesn’t get any deeper than 340 until very close to center. Add in the fact that the wind is almost always blowing out towards right field and you end up with a launching pad. If you’ve ever watched games at GT compared to other places you would know that GT’s right field plays smaller than almost any P5 park in the country.
Anything hit out to left was deserved, but there’s plenty of balls that get out to right that have no business being home runs.
The ACC average is around 585.LOL, they are at about 2000'. UVa is only 600'. Even ND is 740'. Pitt is 1070'.

The ACC average is around 585.
This is football info, so ND brings that average up (assuming they aren't included).
In more ways than one...So we are high.
Yes the field is actually marked incorrectly on purposeDoes this mean the field are marked incorrectly? Just trying to understand since the right field wall says 350?
before the Rockies came into existence, atlanta fulton county stadium was the highest park in MLBHigher elevation & higher humidity will increase "carry" as well. Ga Tech sits around 1000' above sea level... without looking, I'm guessing that's near top of ACC. And humidity? Well... we've been there, right?

At least we won’t have to see him today.King and Hill were outstanding as well. The staff only allowed 1 walk on the day!
Truly outstanding, though was Leach for Miami. He allowed 1 hit and struck out 8 in 6 innings.
As a kite.So we are high.
Make that bottom of 3rd.Chance to blow the game wide open with bases loaded and none out in bottom of 4th, then three straight called third strikes on Finley, Romano, and Jackson. Ugh! Still up
Really - upper 80’s fastballs right down the middle.Boy these backwards Ks are getting hard to watch. Seems like they all on the same pitch.
Finley can now remain in game as DH... if I'm not mistaken. ...and that's only because there was no DH in lineup while he was pitching.Finley batting in bottom of 5th, so guess he’s coming out for the 6th. As long as getting hit by the pitch doesn’t change CDH’s mind.
Guess Danny changed his mind - Josh Siegel out in 6th.Finley batting in bottom of 5th, so guess he’s coming out for the 6th. As long as getting hit by the pitch doesn’t change CDH’s mind.
