Mississippi shot 47% from the 3 point line against Syracuse. I don't see them shooting that % 2 games in a row. CJP has them focused on winning a road game - it's our next step to the NCAA tournament. The time has come - we win tonight!

Fwiw, Belmont was one of the best shooting teams all year, and our D shut them down.

The question to me is whether we can score.

Lammers is a luxury that allows us to guard the three more aggressively. A lot of teams had their worst shooting night against us this year. I do not think we were just lucky.

And some had their best (@Duke & @Syracuse). Sometimes when you're hot, you're hot.
We really didn't cover the perimeter that well against Syracuse, but we did on Sunday against Belmont, and it helped considerably. It took a lot of work on our players' part to do that so effectively. I hope they can do it again tonight. I don't think we did anything well against Duke.

We need to bring our home court on the road energy tonight. Too often this season we have not.

We won @ VCU which is a legit road win -- a better out of conference road win than many tournament teams had.

We played well @VPISU and @ Virginia. We won @NC State before they gave up on the season.

We had a few bad road games too - but most teams do. There were some other factors contributing to some of the road losses (injuries, flu, etc).

The disparity between our opponents shooting % when they play us at McCamish vs at "home" (for them) is stark. I saw the numbers in the Macon paper ..... The difference was double digits. It amazes me a familiar setting can have this much effect. I don't think our D is that much worse on the road than at home, is it? It shouldn't be, as defense is typically fueled by desire more than emotion.

Well, let's hope we have plenty of desire in the tank tonight.

not sure if anybody mentioned it but i have two thoughts that could come into play.

1. from what i understand they shot lights out during the win over syracuse. In his last four games, Deandre Burnette is 15-for-27 from 3-point range. if we defend well against him we win. i dont see him shooting lights out tonite. he has already shot his .... imo.

2. we had a relatively easy win against belmont. our legs should be fresh and we should be mentally fresh as well. in our past sunday games we played in the evening if memory serves me correctly. i think playing a noon game on sunday will make a world of difference as well.

get past tonite and 2 games in 9 days during spring break cant be more ideal for THIS team.

the acc can still salvage an abysmal post season if nc can win the tourney and tech the nit.

I WANT 22 WINS. I WANT 22 WINS . I WANT 22 WINS. I WANT 22 WINS. I WANT 22 WINS.

To Hell with UNC, their conference commissioner, and the NCAA that enables them.
