So you are saying this explans why the center and gaurds look bad. 78 who is a senior had a really rough day. Burden didnt do much. It seems deeper than the edge guys. We still have 4 back on the ol. You would think at least the left side of the line would be ok. Its not either

More than anything, I think Duke's D started to read our intentions. That made beating the line easier.

Last year tech looked pretty bad at the beginning of the year, and if it wasn't for playing weaker teams we could have easily lost two more games early. Our D looks way better this year, but our O looks way worse. Give it some time guys. If we had this schedule last year we would have started off 2-2 and then still ended the season good, all is not lost.

I would really love to go on a tear and win out, but if not I hope we have our s*** together by the end of November and beat the hell outta ga cause I'm getting tired of their arrogance and s*** talking.

I think they brang 6 almost every down knowing we only use 5 to block most downs and took a chance. And we simply didnt know what to do. Both in blocking. Playcalling. Reading. Etc.

Then it seems we went back to alot of ankle biting cut blocking vs the man up drive blocking we did so well vs uga and miss st. I feel like we had more ol belly flopping blocks than we had since the 2013 or 2012 teams that stunk at ol blocking too

What weak teams should we have lost to last year? I'm throwing the BS flag on that. GT had talent and it showed. You don't go 11-3 without it. I don't care who you are. This offense is horrible right now and it's not because of PJ. The fools that thought we were going to be "better" and "more athletic" are just that...fools. Our primary running back position has more fumbles in 4 games than what we had all year last year. Our AB's aren't blocking a lick on the perimeter either. Another loss or two like these and I say start developing the guys that will be here next year.

I may be missing your point. But we sucked at blocking from the get go. In fact may be was worse in q1 than q3. I think its way more than tired. Pressing. Loss of ab. We look clueless and how thats possible with 4 returning on the ol baffles me. I get sometimes messing up. Sure. But this is 8 quarters of bad.
My thoughts exactly .....I can see one O-lineman getting beat but to consistently have 2 or 3 D-linemen in our back field with 4 returning starters on the O-line is inexcusable. Especially when our o-line outweighed there D- line by an average of 60 lbs.

It's easy when you don't change the snap count

Happy with the D. Not great, but it's going in the right direction and is easily the best aspect of our team early in the year so far. Kept us in the game and gave us a chance to win. Can't ask for much more than that.

ST - Good to see Butker bounce back and it some FGs. Good for him. I choose not to remember the rest of the game for our STs.

Offense - The only positive is I feel Thomas played better than last week, and the WRs were a little better in the pass game. Small victories. Blocking was still unexplainably bad. Playcalling was head scratching, and the same things I've said about Skov still apply.

That's because of the senior A-backs, B-backs, and WRs, along with a senior RG to anchor the line. These guys just don't know what to do and they aren't learning fast enough.

This all day long. The perimeter blocking is nonexistent this year. What can you expect from a bunch of freshman at the skill positions? We should strive for 2-3 abacks a class while recruiting instead of loading up at the position every 4 years. As far as the O-line goes, I'm not sure the current guys we have were all that good last year. Really stop and think about the drive blocking that everyone keeps mentioning. All I can seem to remember is the runner getting behind Shaq the vast majority of the time. Him dominating probably masked a lot of inefficiencies.

I have confidence that we'll figure some stuff out and the freshman are only going to get better. Could be a rough year though.

Not really sure what that means but are you seriously saying the snap count is the reason we got man handled at the line of scrimmage?

Uh noooo......but it sure doesn't help when the defensive line fires off the same time that you do. You see...that's why teams vary their snap count. To give the offense and more importantly the offensive line the jump on the defense. I thought this was pretty much common knowledge.

This is what I saw. We have some issues but we have been out schemed two weeks in a row. We need to adjust. This is a coaching issue.

Never imagined I'd see JT running for his life against Duke. I actually felt bad for the kid. 1,500 pounds of sirloin to protect him and he gets .25 seconds before he's covered in Puke.
