Heard on the Radio post game that Haynes King is playing hurt with some sort of leg injury. That might explain the play calling from Buster.
Nobody should take that game for granted. ACC road games are hard, doesn’t matter if you’re in Palo Alto, Berkeley, or Death Valley. Just ask Miami.Anyone writing off UNC is nuts because we’ve seen our defense struggle every game where the other team has a passing QB. The Duke QB was horrible tonight yet they still had a lead in the 2nd half. The UNC game will be a track meet. I expect us to win but I’m also not expecting them to rollover. I also expected us to win at Syracuse and we stunk it up.
If he’s hurt then we are doing an awful lot of running him up the gut into the heart of the DLHeard on the Radio post game that Haynes King is playing hurt with some sort of leg injury. That might explain the play calling from Buster.
I thought we mixed it up a bit better this time. If Haynes catches that first outside pass for a TD we would all have been breathing a bit easier.I will say when we get in 3rd and short, we sh*t the bed most times and are real predictable.
Do we know the official attendance?
I don't understand. The wide receiver screen is one of our most consistent and successful plays and you want us to stop calling that play so much? Would you also prefer that we stop scoring touchdowns? Can we please start throwing the ball down the field? Glad we won but damn it hard watching us run QB draws and wr screens 50% of the plays
Here is why I say sluggish. Between 6 minutes left in the first quarter to 11 minutes left in the 4th quarter, we had more punts than points. We were also pretty fortunate to get a roughing the passer call to allow us to score our last TD. They had one drive that ended deep in our territory because their RB just fell down, and they missed an easy FG on another drive. It just wasn't a very clean game. Good result but the road there was rocky.I keep seeing words like sloppy and sluggish. It may have felt sluggish because we slowed to pace waaay down a few times. 74% completions, 5 ypc, 245 on the ground, zero turnovers, doubled their TOP…I mean Malik Murphy barely broke a sweat. Defense allowed 274 and 14 points, some of the penalties were bogus. If that’s sloppy, sign me up because those stats win most games.

Who wanted to do that?I won’t gloat, because I will be the first to admit that we have plenty to work on. However, to those of those that are negative Nancie’s and wanted to crown dook the dynasty of the ACC for beating absolutely nobody, I will take your apology graciously.
I confess I did not know that. Some of the screens are actually rpos and the screen is the pitch read.
That was on purpose. Duke pins their ears back and goes. We made them defend sideline to sideline. They have a very good defense.
That was a good win. They're more solid than I thought.
Gotta see some data for that...for every one time MR breaks for 50 there are about 10 where we lose 3-5 yards and get saddled with third and longI don't understand. ^ Agree 100%. we haven't had such a disruptive force in the interior since Gotsis left. I thought Zeek was going to be such a player. seeing a DT chase down a screen pass? outside toss sweep? (can't remember) was a highlight of the game for me.I just wanted to say

Strength of Duke is their defense and we put 24 on ‘em and got the win. Just win!Great to get a win against a team who had won 7 games in a row. I’m not sure the last time we have done that, so props to Duke, I don’t care who they played to get there.
The defense looked solid. Outside the first 20 minutes of the Syracuse game, this unit had been good.
The offense did just enough. The roughing the passer was a godsend and pushed the momentum in the 4th quarter. King didn’t look comfortable in the pocket most the night. There were some guys open down field, we just didn’t throw them.
Fsu-ey is difficult to quantify, but it feels spot on for both teams.Yeah, UNC is looking real FSU-ey.
They have the talent to beat us. But if we make them face any adversity, most of them'll probably start looking for soft places to lie down.
