Apparently (per Goodman) TxTech meeting with Chris Beard. Yes, the same guy who just got hired at UNLV. Whoa.

Beard was an asst in Lubbock for 10 yrs per Goodman.

ETA: That should say 'met' with Beard as in the meeting already happened. UNLV released a statement to that effect and stated they were aware of it beforehand.

Apparently Texas Tech is a dream Job for Beard. If you can find someone who dreams of coaching at TTU you hire him immediately.

A Co-worker of mine is on a flight with Gregory to Detroit right now. They spoke and Gregory mentioned he is visiting a friend of his on the Pistons staff.

Doesn't seem to have any major coaching leads. Interesting to see where he ends up.

Word up here is they are seriously intrested in him. I personally hope he's offered and takes it. UD basketball is deeply connected to the city of Detroit. It's a sleeping giant on the mid major level. Could be another Dayton. Kinda ironic. Lol

Damn. Been out of the loop for a min. My AAU guy told me a week or two ago they were high on him and Izzo was pushing. Thought it was a done deal. My bad. A 2 year old and 4 month old twins catches up to me sometimes. Lol
