NoWould they have kept bama out if Milroe was injured?
No they wouldn't haveThis mess is the fault of the auburn defensive coordinator. Had he not rushed only two on the last play of the game last week, Bama and Georgia would have been eliminated.
Holding a team that scores 31ppg to 6 even while losing the field position battle isn't impressive?FSU getting left out after 200 yards of offense is no surprise. Sucks for them but the writing was on the wall, everyone on that team knew that needed to look really good, and they looked bad. Pleasantly surprised they didn’t figure out a way to get Georgia in.
What crazy timing - until this year there was talk that a 12 team playoff wasn’t needed since 4 vs 5 was rarely the interesting or critical part of the debate. Good thing I don’t like FSU anyway.
No, they would’ve said winning the SEC with a backup QB is even more impressive and they deserve to go even more.Would they have kept bama out if Milroe was injured?
This is exactly what was said. If you're in any other conference and an SECheat team is close, they're in and you're going home. No, they would’ve said winning the SEC with a backup QB is even more impressive and they deserve to go even more.
The committee just said that being in the SEC is more important than winning games. What’s the point in even playing anymore
Been this way for yearsThis is exactly what was said. If you're in any other conference and an SECheat team is close, they're in and you're going home.
Not only that, but why is bama needing a hail mary to beat a bad auburn team somehow seen better than fsu's defense dismantling UL? there is no justification for bama being over fsu that doesn't boil down to sec bias. it's disgusting.Dude! Beating the #15 ranked team with your true freshman 3rd string QB who had thrown a total of 4 passes in college football should be an advertisement for how *good* you are, not that you should be left out. SMH.
Simple. How do you explain Cincinnati then?
Actually, FSU is the beneficiary of the karma. For the last few years they have been the band leader for the whiny butt-hurt parade to get out of the crappy old non-football ACC.Wasn’t the ACC one of the conferences that voted against expanding the playoff this year? Karma.
I have no doubt the fix was in. Obviously they wanted a SEC team in the mix for ratings. Could not take UGA, so it was Bama. FSU was undefeated, already #4, won a conference championship, beat two SEC teams (one without their QB). To not pick FSU allows the SEC (via the CFP) to force FSU to finalize their decision to leave the ACC. So the SEC has obviously significant control the whole CFP process, etc. CFB is a sham and a whisper of the traditional college sport it used to be. Once a sport … and then for a long time a sports business … and now just a business. Sad but to be expected. It’s only about money.Unfortunately this is likely to be the highest rated playoff ever. 4 huge fanbases covering different swaths of the country. The controversy of Bama getting in is going to lead to curious eyes watching the semifinal vs. Michigan. ESPN and Disney are tanking. It’s all been a ruse to drive rankings.
This is also going to further increase the divide between FSU and the ACC, driving a very valuable asset in FSU to an even more valuable asset in the SEC. ESPN is dirty, and they just proved it for the whole country to see

Well, CONGRATS NOLES! They heard you loud and clear!
