I would definitely prefer to have FF too but Olson is the best alternative imo.
Personally, I would, too, but then I value pure hitters over HR hitters… big surprise, I know. I’d much rather have a .280-.300 hitter who will likely belt 20+ HR per season than a .230-.240 hitter who might hit 40 HR. They’ll both drive in 100 RBI, but the hitter will likely score 100 R, too, meaning he’s also on base a lot.

Good guys win 5-1. Sale likely starter tomorrow. How big is that game? The Braves are now 6-5 against the Mets on the season, so a win tomorrow clinches the head to head. Also, Braves are .5 games behind the Dbacks and 1 game behind the Mets for a wildcard slot. A win tomorrow ties up the Mets.

Who’d a thunk it?

Sounds like both remaining games have been postponed to Monday, doubleheader.

Cute that NY media suggesting the Braves were careless in not preemptively scheduling a double header yesterday to avoid this.

I guess they wanted the Braves to pitch guys on short rest just 'cause the Mets said so?

And while gtswarm hot stuck at the hurricane party, the Braves decided the season matters and ripped off 2 IAR from KCR behind Cy Young quality pitching.

Meanwhile the Mets drop two to MIL, and fall behind those Braves.

Crazy? Why, yes… yes, indeed.

Well, I am happy. Pleased. Surprised. But still no real offensive explosion.

Looks like a date with the Padres is most likely.

Braves pitching makes them dangerous even with their flimsy offense.
