Brewers have closed within 1 of the Cards.
Who would we rather play?
Here's a stat to chew on...
Run Differential (thru 158 games)
Cards +101
BrewCrew +9

I cannot explain how those 2 teams are within a game of each other. No playoff team has a run diff below +100 right now. Cubs (same div) are eliminated with a run diff of +102. CRAZY!

These teams are all capable. It reminds me of those Fishy Marlins sneaking around to the WS, with their empty stadium.

I mean the Nats. got 90 today. Brews have 89, they won. Cards, Dodgers, Braves, all with fine seasons. The AL will have like 6 teams with 93 or more wins. One of those will wind up with no WC, another with a WC loss. Some parity among the other 8 left to duel it out. It’s not like teams are backing in, or other ones are winning 110 games.

10 teams have over 90 wins, plus Brews will most likely get another W this weekend to join that club(89, presently).

4 teams have over 100 wins, another with 99 probably will join this weekend. Atlanta with a distant shot, has 97, with 3 more to play.

I’ll admit Milw. hasn’t played the best teams of late, however they all count and hot is hot going into next week. It generally helps to be playing sound with all components working. The majority of the 11 teams above mentioned, have played an above average schedule throughout the season. I tried to analyze the opponents earlier this morning. Granted AL Central, NL West, a little below the other divisions in competitiveness. I do like the inner-Division predominant number of games. It makes winning the Division a team is in, as legitimate champs and allows a good second place team to have a chance as a fourth Divisional(if there were such) winner through WC.

Hey Buzz, I read an article on the ESPN site that had are 1-2-3 post season starters as, Keuchel-Soroka-Tehren ... is something wrong with Fried or is that just an error ??
Jake, I’m reading your mind(although I don’t have ESP, just ESPN;))concerning who should be the third starter. I agree! IMHO.

I think Fried could pitch a game 4, if necessary. Could be Folty. Heard nothing about an injury or a game 4 starter should that come about. If it would have been the Cubs, he would have been third, although that info. was a month or so ago. He could lead off a potential Dodger Series, should we sweep the Cards? He definitely goes a lot vs. LA. It’s a lefty pitcher vs. a lefty club kind of thing. At least that’s what I’m hearing from an external source, last week. Tehran has held the current Cardinals to a .245 avg. and .211 vs. present Brewers. Keuchel will pitch at least two vs. LA. Probably Max would too.

Both teams are good teams.. obviously, but I would much rather face the Brewers. Their "run" here to finish the regular season is very impressive; but the teams they have played on this 18-2 run are a combined (429-514 or .460 winning %). Bad teams. This is the time of year some teams are really mailing it in, so 18-2 is a little less impressive when put in that context. Nothing about them is better than St Louis and most glaring is pitching. In the post-season, pitching is critical. St Louis is a better pitching team than Milwaukee. For the record, the Braves are better than both of these teams.... but I'd be more excited about matching up against the weakest pitching staff.. IF I were you guys. As a Nationals fan.. the LAST thing I want is face St Louis and Flaherty in a ONE and DONE game. Bring on the Brewers...and we'll see what happens.

I agree with all you wrote. St. Louis scares me much more than the Brewers.

You guys ok? Is this thing on?

Braves are 2019 NL EAST Champs. Did you already forget?

This is FUN! Remember that!
Sorry, I worked a football game in Spartanburg with my Duluth gang. Working two different places in town tomorrow, day and night. I’ll be ready next Thursday for NLDS.

The Braves have shut down outfielder Ender Inciarte from physical activity, manager Brian Snitker told reporters including Gabe Burns of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution (via Twitter). He’s not going to be a part of the team’s upcoming divisional series roster. Relapse pull on the hamstring.

We are not winning 100 games in Regular Season. Mets win 4-2 last night.

Jake and Co.;

Hey Fellas and you too @kg01 , an unnamed source who actually knows both Snit & Kranitz(sounds like a law firm) gave a friend of mine some info. yesterday. I guess that’s fourth person if you are counting, now 5th person to you Chaps. Keuchel for game 1, Folty for 2nd home game and Soroka with a road ERA <1.50 for game 3. Fried could be a game 4. Tehran is in serious question to make the roster. They don’t like him out of the Bullpen, but he could be in the next series, should there be another. Again, these are not my opinions-don’t shoot the messenger. Looks like FNSM, Swarzak, Newk., O’Day, Tomlin, plus the 3 at the trade deadline will make it. I asked about Blevins, since Dayton is injured-“mgmt. not certain if carrying a 13th pitcher?”

Take care Gents! Buzz
