I posted a new thread on college & pro sports. It’s about Clemson discussing how they play their football team on wiretap. Since it crossed football and basketball, I put it over there.

And the NCAA twiddles their thumbs.

True. Kennesaw State could be the first test-case in this. What will they do, based on yesterday's report?

Recruiting against schools in the SEC was particularly challenging for Richardson. “[Richardson] was recruiting [Reid],” Sood testified, “but LSU seemed to be more willing to pay him to attend LSU.” Richardson said he once won the battle for one Louisiana native even though Richardson said that he later found out Lil Wayne was somehow involved. Or that, “When I’m recruiting against Mississippi State, all bets are off.”

You know, Cal & K are not even sweating this. They know the NCAA will do nothing to either program.

It is interesting that, since K decided to go in for the one-and-done guys a few years ago, he has beaten Cal in like 8 of 10 head-to-head recruiting battles. It hasn't even been close lately.

Oddly, while K is the better coach, I think he is worse at one-and-dones. If K and Cal had switched rosters this year, I think both make the Final Four.

This should probably read "Since K decided to let Capel start working the system for the one-and-done guys" or something like that.

Buffers, the family had lots of buffers.

I'd be willing to bet $1 that the amount of personal development early NBA entrants experience under Cal far exceeds what the same experience under K.

I also think the concept of Cal just throwing talent on the floor is wildly exaggerated. Dude can definitely coach his guys on & off court.
