Be careful. @dtm1997 will jump all over you and accuse you of saying things you never said. Of course, he'll only do that if he doesn't like you and likes to try to bully you

Regardless of K having direct awareness, dook basketball has a dark web of minions utilized to carry out nefarious activities, illicitly providing recruits with impermissible benefits.

For a guy who jumped up and down in his playpen about witnesses having evidence, you spout a lot of accusations without a thread of proof.

Please discuss the wiretaps where they have a Duke, UNC or UVA coach or player discussing improper benefits. There was one wiretap where a runner alleged that Zion's dad wanted cash. No one from Zion's camp or Duke's staff was ever mentioned in any of the adidas stuff.

Are you being for real?

So you think Zion only wanted six figures to go somewhere other than Duke? What about the expense reports showing that Wendell Carter received improper benefits from agents? We could go on and on. But there is probably no point - I'm guessing you think Lance Armstrong is clean too - nobody ever caught him taking drugs - he passed every test.

*sigh*

Don't bother fighting with him. "Great cover-up" = innocence, in his book.

If someone doesn't want to call duke/K "guilty", fine. But don't dare bang the drum for their "innocence". There's a big difference.

As a wise old sage named ESPNJacket once said, "Free never wins a bidding war."

The easy answer to the wiretaps is this. The wiretaps were on Adidas clients. All the coaches mentioned above with Zion are Nike. if the FBI had managed to get into this game through someone that was working for Nike rather than for Adidas than the whole list of schools and coaches would be different on the wiretaps.

Taking down the dirty cheatin' German companies while leaving alone the glorious American companies.

So we have one guy who says he was asked about money for Zion. That becomes "Duke is the evil empire"

By that logic, Pastner raped Bell's girlfriend and has paid hundreds of recruits. After all, a guy said it so it must be true

No. You’ve got your information wrong in both cases.

So USC is tired of all this academic scandal stuff, so to improve their image, they hired as their next President...wait for it...wait for it...Chancellor of UNC. That’s right. The former President of USC stepped down due to a major sexual assault scandal on campus...now get this, this the comment made by USC on the hire of the UNC Chancellor "We have worked hard to try to turn a corner, to make a change,". LOL. Um, not really. You just hired someone who was Chancellor of UNC during one of the largest academic scandals in NCAA history.

But...but...but...(u)NC successfully explained to their accreditation board, SACS, that the whole fiasco was the result of “renegades” in the athletic association, who exploited (u)NC academic policies to keep players eligible. So obviously, the Chancellor bears no blame...

And while we’re at it, of course, the (u)NC athletic association bears no blame in the matter—because we all know it was “renegade” staff on the academic side who were completely out of control because the Chancellor’s office did not properly monitor their academic units...

Pretty sure Folt the one who dealt with the fall out of the UNC scandal and not the one actually in charge at the time it was going down. In that case it would make sense for USC to hire someone who has experience in dealing with that kind of thing.

Don't let little details like it was Holden Thorpe who got the axe for the AFAM stuff to get in the way of a good snark line. FWIW Folt got in the way of the Silent Sam nonsense and had that blow up in her face. She probably is looking forward to going out west with just California nuttiness to deal with.

Right, but its how they dealt with it that is so ridiculous. They basically got up in the NCAAs face and said 'screw you, you can't do anything about it'.
