So should we shut down message boards? This all opinions. That PI call was like what we had in Vandy game. And ga game.

If we went by fact it would b messages like:
ND won the game.
Franklin can’t win big games.

That isn’t that exciting.
Not the message board the officials debating PI calls in games. They are inconsistent now, adding a review will only make it worse.

The NFL tried and gave up after 1 years as it caused more issues than it resolved. Take that to a lower level where there about 70 games with review officials making separate decisions vice one central officiating as the NFL uses working 15 games. Recipe for no good.

And for anyone thinking a review would be an improvement just read the last two pages of this thread. Split about 65-35 for PI. To overturn a call it better be close to 100% certain. That is the issue with the current Targeting reviews.

Let me guess - they're all defensive backs.
Well, I feel sorry for them. Seemingly everything is stacked against them. The receivers are getting bigger, better, faster, all the time. The quarterbacks can put passes through ridiculous windows. Even when they have the SOB covered an official gets his panties all in a wad because the DB put a hand on the back of the jersey or did not turn around or some other excuse to throw the flag. Everyone these days wants to see a track meet and few people appreciate when a defensive back makes a good play. I would find it discouraging.

Can't disagree. Franklin will take the loss and get heat for not winning the big one, but Allar threw the ridiculous, ill-advised pass that turned into the interception that cost Penn State the game.
Coaches can't make the plays for them but he will get the blame and whatever is left over will go to Allar. College football these days is all about the quarterbacks and receivers it would seem. They get the glory and the blame. IIWII

Pretty sure that play involved contact as well. Never played the ball. Question seems to be whether it was catchable by the receiver.
My comment is only that face guarding is legal in college football. You can put your hands directly in front of the receivers eyes and as long as you don't touch him, it's not a penalty. It is in the pros.

Isn't Will Howard,OHio state QB more impressive than Shadeur Sanders?
He’s playing for a national championship, so yes.

The most talented player alive, playing for himself, will eventually reach his limit, which will fall short of the collective limit of a highly talented opponent.
A somewhat less talented player, maximizing the collective talents of those around him, will exceed the limits of a highly talented opponent.

Does anybody remember when Ohio State fans were calling for Ryan Day's head a little over a month ago? Actually the worst fans in college football. Not the first time this delusional fanbase has called for him to be fired either.
