Buzz, If/when JD resigns are we done or are we still in the market for a power-hitting OF via trade ?
Didn't think Freddi was a great Head Coach, but I always thought he was a good guy ...

Jake, if we sign him, I don’t think we actively go after Ozuna, Haniger, etc.

However, Alex A. had some trade offers for everyday players & prospects, during the W.Meetgs. So passively if they overwhelm him, make our club better, then sure.

I think his primary need is the power bat in the middle. Personally, I’d love to have a ready-made OF in that 5th slot protecting the 50 million $ a year duo. Don’t get me wrong, Pache is the future in place of Kakes/Duvall.

Should Alex Wood not get want he wants from Milwaukee or ?, maybe Atlanta takes a flyer for a 1 year?

I really hope Markakis has at least one more "good" year in his fuel tank, he's a good hitter and a good guy to have around the clubhouse.
I'm not sold on Duvall, I think his best years are in the rear view mirror, although he gave us a good boost at times last year ...

I’m not a big platoon fan, although I like this one for the start of this season, especially with the 26 man roster. Kakes can’t play every day and be effective.
Adam hits lefties pretty well. Riley will be somewhere, because I don’t think AAA
serves his needs for very long. Good to have options with him, due to injuries or
severe slumps.

About 5 weeks for pitchers to report? My mother is moving from Englewood, Fl.(which is a stones throw from the new park), just my luck. Port Charlotte is right there too.

My wife and I have already booked a trip to San Diego for March 30th, 31st and April 1st games vs. Padres.
Great trip, we stay at the Marriott right across the street from Petco Park, it's right on the Bay and the Gas-Lamp District is right there for your Dining pleasure ...

I thought Asdrubal Cabrera was the insurance policy for 3B?
Really like Daniel Hudson, whether he’s changing diapers like our @kg01 or not!

Guys, I remember washing out my Sister’s diapers. When my Son came aboard, it was a “breeze” changing out pampers. Yes, I hiked to school in the snow before moving to Atlanta, in kindergarten with my older cousins:unsure::((y);)!!!!

Edited-Yes, fourth Fred. It’s over 100 m.

Yes. Cabrera is currently 3B on depth chart, but he did not play that position while a National last season.... some other guy played 3B. (the one that's 'dead to me')

Obviously rather have JD for 3 years but at this point gotta give him 4. Dont wana trade prospects for Bryant or Arenado. If JD mashes next 2 years and Rileys ready you can try an flip JD. Whatever they do keep Pache and Waters. And Anderson. Its just money for JD, the others is prospects and money. Luckily AA seems like he knows what hes doin and learned from past mistakes

I think AA will give Josh Donaldson whatever he wants to keep him playing for the Braves

Yes, you might say the two have been joined at the hip and wallet since JD reigned/rained on the MLB scene. :)

I don’t think he wanted to go more than two years(he knew the 1 year/17.8 m. wouldn’t be accepted)...then it was a vesting option third year because of the competition....became a fourth year with no options since the bidding war heated up....now its the increase in money....soon the physical to put ink on the contract.
