    Rats …

That is so funny. That is how Adi Dassler gained his popularity. He had these new screw in cleats for the German team vs. Hungary in the 1954 World Cup. Hungary was the much better team, but thanks to Adi's cleats and some really bad officiating, Germany won. I am still bitter about that, lol.

    Miami Preparation Media Thread

I am not sure we win, but I do not think for the reasons you posted. Yes, I think OL depth could be a concern as the season progresses, but I don't think that it is a logical reason for predicting an individual loss. The starters are good and we have enough depth for any "typical" injuries...

    Miami Preparation Media Thread

I hope they bring the right cleats for playing on the Platinum TE Paspalum grass. It is finer than the Tifway 419 at BDS. Sort of like playing on a green vs. St. Augustine, lol.

Jackets have had a difficult time holding onto the

That pic in the AJC just isn't right. Looks like we were playing Clemson - Ben Boulware knows what I mean.

    Were you aware. . . .

The new one this weekend is that we are a "nuisance" in the ACC.

    Backs

Simple answer to this. The players listen to the media as well. In our history, every time the media starts talking about us, we fall flat on our face. He cares for one thing, the team. He knows their mindset and what is good for it better than we ever will.

    Tennessee Depth Chart

I obviously do not know the team like you do, but it is my impression that this is a great group of young men that represent our school. I wish them much success on and off the field. Time to turn the Jackets loose!!!!

He is currently paying out-of-state tuition to try out for AL.

Can Tech steal the ATL chant?

They did that when I was a student and they were trying to set some kind of record for the most people playing kazoos a one time. It sounded awesome for a school with a yellow jacket mascot, though we weren't a particularly good team at the time. I think the current record is just over 5,000...

    Injuries Mounting

Rock- If you are close to MJ, make sure he knows that he has fans out here that will cheer for his success, no matter the outcome of a QB competition. I really admire his tenacity on and off the field and I am proud to have him as a fellow alum. He seems to be a remarkable young man and the...

Why should we really expect to be good????

TO = turnovers. Just realized that could be triple option also. Lol

Why should we really expect to be good????

I agree that TO killed us in the UNC and Miami games last year.

    Tennessee Game 1

Not trying to be disrespectful here, but take it from experience, the defense can always get worse.

    Youngest Braun

Same here. Not just for the quality of play, but for the quality of the individuals. Coach, you have done a great job with raising your sons. I bet you are proud of them.

So who started all that throwing anyway?

I think some of this is a bit misleading. It makes it look like the coaches were fools for not throwing the pass. Until the rule was changed where an incomplete pass resulted in a change of possession, it really was a pretty risky play.

True, and it doesn't even look easy! It is no wonder the linemen are the smartest guys on the field.

    QB battle

Not fair to Matthew. I think a lot of programs didn't want to touch him because of the T1D. I think he is an amazing young man to look at his academic accomplishments and his ability to play football through medical adversity. Really looking forward to seeing him this Fall. Wish him nothing...
