  1. Arkansas

Not sure what you mean by but we are Georgia Tech. Over the last 30 years we have finished ranked in the top 25 the 27th most times. That doesn’t make us a powerhouse but we have had a better program than 2/3rds of the P5 over the past 3 decades. The whoa is us crap is getting old.
  2. Arkansas

We will see where Arkansas ends up. They looked terrible tonight and I fully expect them to tank. Who did they beat before us? I can't imagine it was anybody worth a crap but I could be wrong. This has easily been the worst 5 year stretch of my 30 + years of GT fandom. I'm counting the...
  3. Arkansas

Arkansas is a trash team. I’m sick of excuses. The last 5 years of football basketball combo have been disastrous.
  4. NC State vs. Georgia Tech Predictions #NCSUvsGT

    NCSU is pretty bad.
  5. Poll - What is a reasonable amount of time for Collins to be given?

I agree with this. Get their consistently and you have a top 25 program. That should be the goal. And that’s a solid and competitive program.
  6. Poll - What is a reasonable amount of time for Collins to be given?

What disappointment that team turned out to be looking back.
  7. I guess we should have known

Disagree. The majority of the people understand the incredibly difficult position he was in with this hire. He seems to be good at fundraising and as long as that continues he will be in good shape. He inherited a mess on many levels.
  8. I guess we should have known

Johnson is the only reason some hate the current coach. Bringing him up is pertinent to the criticism of the current staff. When one removes their love for the past staff/scheme/style and looks at the current roster for what it is, one is able to see the mess that this staff inherited.
  9. Has Georgia Tech Football entered the Bill Lewis Era part II?

In all sincerity, that was the last time the talent level was this low.
  10. Has Georgia Tech Football entered the Bill Lewis Era part II?

The way I see it, these are all Johnson’s players. I have no clue how the transition from his scheme is not a MAJOR factor in this year.
  11. Virginia Postgame

    I’m afraid I don’t understand. Johnson’s best 3 year stretch was 08-10. Not 14-16.
  12. Virginia Postgame

Certainly wasn’t disappointed. It was a slightly above average team. I’m not prepared to call a team that finished unranked good by our standards. It’s an insult to the program and the 10 teams in 26 years that finished ranked before them. No need to lower the standards of the program to prop...

I call a truce. Life is good we both love the Jackets and I'm about to go home to my wonderful family. Take care and I look forward to our next discussion which will undoubtedly arise sooner rather than later. :)

Also, your original measuring stick was number of 9 win seasons. The fact that Johnson had more 12 game regular seasons than the rest of the coaches in the history of our program combined makes that a misleading statistic. I like the SOS stats and it really sheds light on just how good our 09...
  15. Virginia Postgame

Yeah. Considering pretty much everything in college football is based on arbitrary measuring sticks and perception I'm going to stick with that.
  16. ACC Discussion 2019

I actually think at VT will finish 9-3 and ranked. Those boys are playing really good ball right now.
  17. Virginia Postgame

Hmmm. I thought the point was that using total wins is misleading. I think you agree with that. Thanks for pointing out the SOS of the 16 team however. I have a hard time grading any team that doesn't finished ranked as anything above average but to each their own. Roughly a third of our...
  18. Here is our problem on the Swarm

Just goes to show we don't what we don't know. That's for myself as well btw. I have exactly the opposite view you do as I have had posts removed and I come from a different slant than the one you describe. The mods have a tough job and I would imagine this year has been one of their most...
  19. Virginia Postgame

I'm not trying to push a narrative. You using total wins in a season is misleading and you know it. For example, O'leary only had 1 season in which his teams played a 12 game regular season and Johnson had 11. Give O'leary and extra patsy annually and he would have had 3 straight seasons of 9...

I say this sincerely, I think the biggest problem some people have with Collins is his style. He could not be more different than Johnson so for the fans that really liked Johnson they had to deal with not only going away from his system, but a coach that is the polar opposite of him from a...
