  1. Geoff Collins at temple

Geoff Collins was a Graduate Assistant at Georgia Tech in 1999-2001. I don’t understand all the hullabaloo here in this forum about this guy. GT was simply a beginning stepping stone for his coaching career.
  2. How Many Yards Will Georgia Tech Run For Against North Carolina?

A better question is, “How many touchdowns will Georgia Tech’s defense give up against North Carolina?”
  3. Blue. Pants.

I don’t know about any of y’all, but in my humble opinion our football team looks like schitt in navy blue britches. And dat’s all I have to say about dat.
  4. Three dumb questions

Interesting thread and “analyses” from everyone in this discussion. However, I wonder if quite a number of folks discount the fact that Bud Foster has a bunch of inexperienced freshmen and sophomores making up his two-deep defensive team roster this year. If I’m not mistaken, 19 of the 22...
  5. Three in a Row

    Georgia Tech’s offensive line tonight.
  6. Virginia 28 Duke 14 ...

... shows us all how much we really know about football.
  7. The boy from Lumpkin County can kick ...

Correction, on my mistake above. Actually it is called a kicking block. Rubber kicking blocks for high school football are two inches off the ground, and are used for PATs and FGs. Kicking tees are used for kickoffs. Hope this correction helps! Thanks, guys.
  8. The boy from Lumpkin County can kick ...

Guys, y’all are forgetting once again, the Welles kid is a true freshman. He kicked his PATs and FGs off of a rubber tee in high school the past few years. It just took him a little while — after a lot of practice and repetition — to learn how to kick a football right off the ground (without a...
  9. Sophomore OG Connor Hansen ...

all 6-2, 310 pounds of him, has really solidified the Jackets’ offensive line over the past two games. Hansen was called out for his fine play by CPJ in his post-game comments after last night’s win.
  10. Georgia Tech vs. Louisville Predictions #GTvsLOU

I’m very happy to eat a lot of raw crow this morning. I’m still not too happy with our defense, though. But I realize that we just don’t have the horses to have a stout defense, so I very much need to get used to it.
  11. Louisville Post Game

Nate Woody will bee studying the Georgia Tech-Louisville game film all day today and all night tonight to try to figure out what the heck to do to really make his defense much better for the rest of the season.
  12. Louisville Post Game

Niumatalolo, Monken, and Bohannon will bee studying the Georgia Tech-Louisville game film tomorrow.
  13. Georgia Tech vs. Louisville Predictions #GTvsLOU

Louisville 48 GT 28. Our defense is horrible.
  14. Defensive Stat of the Day

Nice, but to me, points given up per game is the bottom-line statistic for me.
  15. The boy from Lumpkin County can kick ...

Also, interesting bio on Wesley Wells in ramblingwreck.com. Both of his grandpas (his dad’s father and his momma’s daddy) are GT alumni. Go read it, y’all.
  16. The boy from Lumpkin County can kick ...

Don’t forget, guys, he kicked from a tee in high school. Takes a while for a true freshman kicker to get the hang (no pun intended) if kicking a football right off the ground in college. I believe he’s on his way now ...
  17. The boy from Lumpkin County can kick ...

Wells is a true freshman. He’s also a walk-on, I think if I’m not mistaken.
  18. The boy from Lumpkin County can kick ...

and looks like he has won the kicking job. Great showing for the young man, Wesley Wells.
  19. A look at offensive line recruiting

Pardon me, gentlemen, but what we need are some big, strong, and fast defensive linemen. It’s a much higher priority than the OL.
  20. Question, what makes a kid a 2,3,4,5 star

A better question to ask is, “How accurate are ‘recruiting rankings’?” Take the “ESPN Top 300,” for example. How does ESPN select the “top 300 high school football players” out of the total number of high school football seniors (of which there are hundreds of thousands of them or even...
