Well, gee, guys. I find all the scuttlebutt interesting and entertaining, but I have no idea who would bee the “best fit” as Georgia Tech’s next head football coach. I don’t envy Athletic Director Todd Stansbury’s task. It is a monumental one.

Does Georgia Tech currently have the classroom space to take on the students for a larger curriculum? And how much would it cost the Institute to hire the additional instructors for the new majors? I suspect these might be constraining factors. I don’t really know.

Regarding Satterfield, I just don’t know if he (and his wife and family) are willing to move to Atlanta away from the mountain lifestyle they currently enjoy in Boone, North Carolina. Would the challenge of taking over the GT job along with the extra $$ pay be enough for him to make this...

Nothing much has changed. Gained more turnovers, but otherwise no real improvements. Tackling and pursuit angles, especially by the DBs, was the worst I’ve ever seen in a long time. I do not expect to see much, if any change, for the better next year.

At this point today (Monday), it looks like either the Military or the Independence for Georgia Tech. We will know which one when the bowl announcements are made on Sunday.

Stansbury is on the BCS Committee this year, but I doubt he can influence which bowl his Jackets can go to. I hope he can, but I don’t know how much pull he has just because he’s on the BCS Committee.
