Collins certainly will have a very good selection of candidates for QB next year: Graham, Yates, Johnson and Oliver. All are fine athletes. It will be an interesting battle. Biggest challenge, though, would be on the defensive line, and the middle linebackers.

I find it interesting that the college football “recruiting rankings” magazines and subscriber websites do not include the high school players’ academic grades and SAT and/or ACT scores, etc.

I certainly hope Todd Stansbury doesn’t pick Ken Whisenhunt solely based on his close friendship with him. But it is what it is, I guess.

Well, Duke went there last year (beat Northern Illinois 36-14) and apparently Duke could not go back there again this year. Maybe that’s why GT was selected for the Quick Lane this year .... ?? By the way, what bowl is Duke going to this year?

Well, if those four other teams fighting for the fourth Tier I Bowl, we beat three of ‘em (VT, Miami, and UVA). By that evidence, we’ve earned that spot!!!!

I’m currently watching the ESPN College Football Playoff Show (at 12:47 pm now). I’m hoping sometime later during this program they will announce all of the bowl selections.

Not sure both Satterfield and Woody would want to go to Louisville, because they both are men of integrity and character. Georgia Tech and AD Stansbury have a lot more integrity and character than Louisville does.

It’s also possible that the GT AD has already placed a quiet — and unpublicized — phone call to Mr. Satterfield. Again, just my hunch and a strong internal feeling on my part, nothing more. Anything is possible.

Don’t overlook the possibility that Nate Woody and Scott Satterfield have been in touch with each other all along.
