I don't think it was the intent of the question that pissed him off - it was the phrasing of it. Instead of coming out and saying what he thought or asking a specific question about it, KQ said "what do you think of the job you did calling plays" (or some such). Of course that didn't sit well...
To be fair, what really pissed off CPJ to start with was the questions about how he thought he did calling plays. That's what elicited the "what kind of a damn question is that?" I think at that point he was just really pissed and trying to keep it in check.
Couldn't agree more. It has become a constant phrase in postgames about execution. That may be true, but I think there is some merit to the thought that this offense isn't putting our guys in a good spot to succeed.
So, why do we not have a legit 2 minute offense. And before anyone gets bent, I'm not saying that it's all on the offense or defense. However we get the ball back and we trot right back out there with our base formation under center and go back to hoping and praying. If nothing else the...
Agree with this. The way that I heard it is that during the 1 or 2 minute type of offense they have the option. I don't think that applies all the time, but I could be easily misinterpreting what was said.
From my standpoint, I will say that my posts are largely being misconstrued. I think that we can and should do better offensively against Clemson. I think part of the reason we don't is because we expect our guys to be able to counter what Clemson does without making special or larger changes to...
I don't know. But 3 years running of what 150 yards total offense? Notice I didn't say a new offense, I said a new package. Hell, maybe he put in something new each of the last year, but it sure doesn't look like it. Coaches prepare new packages for schools all the damn time. It feels like with...
Miamuh would need to lose three. They hold the head to head and ACC rules are the team with the best record, division and non division (I could be wrong, but pretty certain that's how that works).
What exactly is left? Beating Georgia is about it and getting to a bowl. ACC is pretty much guaranteed to be off the table. Win out, we get a half decent bowl. Anything less and we get a pretty lower tier bowl. At this point the team is playing for pride - that's what I mean.
Venables is completely selling out to stop the run and PJ can do absolutely nothing to stop it. The scheme that Venables is running is not new or confusing. What is confusing to me is how PJ refuses to adjust to do anything different. At this point he should install some new package just for...
Not much left for this team to play for. Will be interesting to see if they can get to a bowl and get a win they shouldn't. Looking like we should be 2-2 down the stretch and most likely finish 6-5.
