  1. Former GaTech defensive lineman and Oklahoma State DC

Can't tell if you are serious. If so, boy Roof sure does know how to leave before getting fired. Did the same thing with Auburn.
  2. Per the Ajc: CPJ working through contract extension through 2022

I think if he has a losing season next year he will be gone, and probably should be.
  3. Per the Ajc: CPJ working through contract extension through 2022

I didn't say that roof didn't have integrity or that he's not a great guy. The point is that he didn't exactly leave of his own volition "similar to Oleary". And I agree Oleary obviously left and didn't even get the job because he has no integrity. BTW, I think it was huge of Roof to not make a...
  4. Per the Ajc: CPJ working through contract extension through 2022

O'Leary left to go to one of the premier jobs in all of college football. Roof was pretty much told don't let the door hit you on the way out. The two are nowhere similar.
  5. CPJ and CNW

I grew up in Brantley county - a neighbor county to Pierce. Good, not great football there, probably on the lower end of AAA football in GA. I think your last paragraph is the biggest issue. We need more good on good, I.e. quality depth. Particularly on the lines to help competition.
  6. OT - Jack DeFoor (@jackdefoor54) Ruled Eligible

He will only make him cut weight if he can't move at 300 or 310. It's also not a forgone conclusion that he will play tackle. If he doesn't play tackle he will probably stay that big. We have had plenty of 300 lb (or damn near) GCG players. PJ has said a billion times that he doesn't care how...
  7. CPJ and CNW

BTW, I could be wrong, but the whole recruiting in 40 years comment was made in reference to how most staffs handle it, i.e. staff is broken down by geography and they find prospects and bring them to position coaches and then ultimately to PJ for approval. The comment was in response to a...
  8. CPJ and CNW

So a kid that "could play at a non-P5" school is a stud, but our players aren't? Stetson Bennett is a 5'11" 170 lb QB out of Pierce County. Best offer was GSU or MTSU. Somehow that way better than the scout team QBs we've had? Possibly, but only marginally
  9. OT - Jack DeFoor (@jackdefoor54) Ruled Eligible

I will assume this is a joke.
  10. Hurts

Hmm, career 63% 5k yards. Probably can't throw at all. Hurts just isn't a pocket passer and isn't accurate on all his throws, but he is good enough to probably be the most talented player to play QB for PJ.
  11. Some of you guys are not religious

Yeah no kidding. He would be awesome for us. He isn't a great fit for the new OC at Bama (Kiffin made it work well and they will miss him). I really meant that he wasn't going to get it done last night. Hurts needs to be able to run and throw - he is not a pocket guy.
  12. Some of you guys are not religious

Your point is still valid, but Tua has played this year. I agree on the decision - I'm not sure PJ would have done it. I was thinking at the end of the half that Saban would do it and he did. Was the only chance they had. Hurts wasn't going to get it done.
  13. Is everyone in the State of Ga enjoying the hype

I had to do a double take to figure out that he's really rooting for bama
  14. 10th coach

Dwyer? Really? What redeeming quality (in terms of coaching) does he have? He basically crapped on PJs system on the way out so I can't imagine he would want to come back and have to sell that. With the 10th position it should be someone who can bring a tangible improvement to the coaching...
  15. UVA vs. Navy

Bilbo top 10 pro QB? Bwahahahah. Most of those guys weren't top 10 qb material.
  16. UCF Revisted

We probably wouldn't have played anyone if we would not have been able to practice like they couldn't. Other than VT, who exactly did we beat this year and UCF is very good offensively. No way we could have beaten them. Either way, I seriously doubt they were "scared" to play us.
  17. UCF Revisted

Where are all the GT fans that called UCF scared for not playing us? UCF would have beaten us at any point in the season - much better team this year.
  18. Possible D Staff

If it makes you feel better, Sewak wasn't with PJ at Navy when he came here. The guys who were however who have left have been extremely successful. Also, wasn't Speed the only defensive guy who came from Navy? The rest were hired along the way or already at Tech and retained by PJ. Not sure...
  19. Possible D Staff

Why would you count Kelley? Why do people keep beating this drum? Kelley was an interim DC for 2 games and left of his own volition - it didn't sound like the relationship had "soured" with Kelley, but if it did it took 5 years or so and not 3.
  20. Next DC

Gotsis was more of a PJ recruit than a Groh recruit. Gotsis was recommended to PJ by one of his former players that coached Gotsis. Also if I'm not mistaken Gotsis' first year on campus was under roof.
