  1. Roof

I don't think he would leave as DC on a bigger, better job for a parallel position in hopes that the AD makes him a head coach when the current one retires/is fired. Sorry, just don't see him wanting to make that move. Furthermore, if he's a legit HC candidate for people he probably would be one...
  2. Roof

We have no shot at hiring Foster from VT. I can't think of one reason why he would even want to come to GT. I don't think 1.5 mil would even lure him to GT.
  3. Roof

Agree. Cory is by far our best defensive player. It's too bad he has played hurt this year.
  4. CPJ needs to be fired

You said their coach didn't change. I agree with you that the offense is largely the same, but I do think that Lindsey calls a different game than Lashlee (spelling) did. CPJ does tweak the offense a little, not all that much. He recycles plays from year to year - surely some to break...
  5. CPJ needs to be fired

I agree that we have had some really good years with this offense. I prefaced my comments with the statement that the offense largely gets a bad rap because we have a few bad games and always have mediocre passing. The years like this year are the outlier (for now).
  6. CPJ needs to be fired

Actually both happened. Auburn brought in Lindsey this year and their defense is great this year.
  7. CPJ needs to be fired

He did, but he barely even finished the year with it. I am not even advocating a wholesale switch to the gun or anything, just try and be more creative. What's wrong with having a TE package? Or maybe run the offense with 3 or 4 wide at time - not just stick a backs out there, but truly be 3-4...
  8. CPJ needs to be fired

PJ and his offense largely get a bad rep because we are not good in some games and we are almost always mediocre in the passing game. Generally, I happen to love the offense for the most part and I find it incredibly frustrating that PJ has refused to evolve into more of a valid passing attack...
  9. Georgia Postgame

I would have liked to see new players. Don't mind running the football in that situation, but it was time for TQ to sit and let someone else get game time.
  10. Georgia Postgame

I don't think he should have benched TQ, but he should have gotten some of the younger guys some PT.
  11. Georgia Postgame

I would be blown away if PJ makes more than one move on his staff. Just don't see it. Needs to happen, but don't see it.
  12. Georgia Postgame

Maybe. He might, but he doesn't look like the athlete that Smelter was when he's running. Could be wrong. Hope he is.
  13. Georgia Postgame

Maybe, but don't think so. Jeune is ok, but I don't think he has NFL caliber athletic ability. He may make it for a while as a UDFA. Hopefully, I am wrong.
  14. Georgia Postgame

I hate Roof's defenses, but Georgia pretty much forced us into nickel. The played a lot of 3&4 wide sets. Too bad they owned the box and could easily run from those formations too.
  15. CPJ needs to be fired

I actually think Monken or Jasper from Navy could easily make it work. Both of those guys mix it up and run more than the same base package every game. The only reason it doesn't work consistently is because PJ can't get someone good enough to be more balanced. I maintain that the only reason...
  16. Well this year sucked

Maybe so. So we give a backup the last snap for a kneel down when we lose 38-7? SMH. Don't understand what the staff does. Despite the mediocre performance by TM, we have stuck with him. And before anyone jumps on this post - no I don't believe changing qb would have made a difference, but we...
  17. Well this year sucked

I meant the score. Remember 51-7?
  18. Well this year sucked

    What a Gailey'esq loss.
  19. State of program

This game is pretty solidly on all phases, but the defense was terrible. They didn't get short fields - they had the ball rammed down their throats.
  20. How good are we?

Add in terrible defense and pretty crappy offense (particularly 2nd half).
