It's probably not a good sign that the primary hospital in Gainesville is bringing in cargo containers to serve as rooms/beds.
Another tidbit, is a 24 year old former Brookwood football star just died from Covid. Idk about risk factors, but he was an OL/DL.
I hear ya Fred, but the virus isn't binary and neither is the need to educate kids. So, we are left with choosing among less than ideal options. Imo, going back to school like it has always been, is the worst among the bad choices considering the current spike. The no school at all option sucks...
Lower class or even below is wealthier than a lot of Countries' middle class. Do you know anyone without a cell phone, computer of some kind, tv, car, basic rights, safety nets, etc. etc.? Even our homeless have access to water. Read up JO.
My fear is that the Rule of Law is rapidly becoming the Rule of Law as I see fit. If we go down this road much further, it will be far more damaging than Covid or protests could ever be.
Maintaining freedoms requires one to follow the damn rules. If you are too cool for school, then drop out...
Seriously? If it's all about individual schools having the power, why did we tolerate probation for a shirt or 2? Why did ugag tolerate getting ***** slapped for pretending to educate football players when Jan Kemp opened a can of whup *** on em? fsu, unc, osu, tex a&m, um, usc, etc. etc. etc...

Just don't see it happening, especially in light of the need and certainty of isolating different players/coaches/staff each and every week. Talk about an asterisk season!
Btw, seems that Freeman with the Braves is sick. One serious illness and the CFB season is done, and at what expense to give...
More on Houston area situation mentioned above. Why do I believe this will have zero impact on indestructible youngsters?

Fans, coaches, media, staff doctors, security people, airplanes, buses, parents of players and support kids like managers, quarantines for infections, etc. etc. etc.
It's not just the fact that one player gets seriously ill ends it all, it's more like a powerhouse losing a couple of games due to...
