You know we can't depend on Todd Stansbury to do everything. Tech fans really need to help out on building revenue. Take a look at all of the $25 tickets available for the Northern Illinois game in just two weeks. If we could get folks just to buy up the $25 tickets and give them away, that...
Apparently the Athletic did an interview with Todd Stansbury. It's behind a pay-wall and I haven't read it. However, a poster on another GT sports blog said the article points out Tech's football revenue was near the bottom of the ACC. We've got to do better making money.
I expect NIU to come to Atlanta and give it's best effort. I'm sure Georgia Tech has the attitude that they can win when we play the likes of Notre Dame, Clemson, Georgia, etc. That's the great thing about college football.
If the coaching staff is allowing fans to come in and watch practice during the preseason, that's great. Even the NFL allows it. We use to be able to watch summer practice years ago, but that all got shut down once fans started videoing certain aspects of practice.
Sims may be much improved, but the real concern for NIU will be containing Gibbs. Gibbs may be the best running back ever at Georgia Tech. If you don't stop him on the first hit, he's gone.
I read somewhere that NIU's whole offense line is back from last season. That bodes well for any team.

I remember how small the Citadel was and how they lost their first two games to Towson and Elon before they played us. I hope our football support staff is performing at a high level.
That is an interesting observation. I believe they can practice up to four hours per day and 20 hours per week. They started practice on Friday. I don't know if team meetings are considered practice. I agree with you. I hope we didn't give away almost an hour of practice time.
Techster, Georgia Tech is not going to join the SEC because the SEC does not want or need us. Tech cannot leave the ACC to join the B1G because the Grant of Rights money that we would owe would be too much to over come. Clemson or FSU would have to pay the Grant of Rights money if they wanted to...
A couple of things. There are other schools that would be a much better draw for the Big 12 to choose from. Georgia Tech is not going to the B1G or SEC. The SEC does not want Tech and Tech can't afford the Grant of Rights money to go to the B1G. Ga. State may be sitting in the #10 media market...
Here, I did this for you. See for yourself. One of the oddest places in college football to watch a game.

I would like to know what kind of game plan he had during that time if he meant the furloughing of employees. I sure would not wanted us to use the funds raised from the IA2020.
I wish we could go back in time to the early 1980s before Tech torn out the old south stands and decided then to build a new stadium. Look at all of the money we've spent over the years remodeling and upgrading. Maybe now is the time to consider a new stadium?
