Gray-Y football?
As a kid, my first game was 1966 in the old horseshoe end zone, GT vs Penn State. I think Tech won 21-0. I still remember how fast and tough the Tech kick off team players were. My jeans and pull over shirt were really out of place because almost all of the fans were wearing...
This past season I got moved to the upper East Stands from the West due to social distancing requirements. I really liked the upper East Stands. I would like to keep the seats I was in. Very good view of the field.
That is why we need to get to the business of winning. Example, look at Atlanta United a year ago. It's called Winning and Having Fun at the Games. I left at half-time against Clemson and drove 80 miles back home. If Stansbury and Collins can't get the job done, then find someone with a better...
You're probably right. I don't like the arms race either, but what worries me is if CGC flounders and can't accomplish what we had hoped for, will we lose fan / financial support? We've seen that Tech can beat factory schools and go to good bowl games. CGC really needs to have an average + year...
I like your goal, but I could live with by 2024 we are highly competitive with Clemson and Georgia by beating either one or both and win 8+ games. Otherwise we had the wool pulled over our eyes and need to clean house and start over. Money Down.
I agree with this. We can't minimize the importance of the S&C program. It's huge especially during the off season. I don't think we lost these three coaches at once, but it's troubling to have this happen at this time of year. Hopefully we'll hire some good personnel, but one of those guys has...
Remember when Texas A&M got a bunch of students to play on it's kick-off team. Tech could have a bunch of 50 and 60 year old guys on it's coverage team. The Fulton County Medical Examiner could station a unit close by on the sidelines. This is the kind of stuff that sells tickets. Collins is...
Let me ask you guys a question. What makes Brent Key such a great position coach? Seems to me that UCF and Alabama have not fallen apart since he left them. I think his best recruit for Georgia Tech has been Jamious Griffin. No offense, but Coach Choice is the guy we need to hang onto.
All schools lose good assistant coaches. I really don't want to lose Brent Key, but there's probably some young hungry go get 'em line coach at another school just waiting for an opportunity to coach on the Power 5 level. You never know, we could come out ahead. I just wonder if the lay offs due...
