Tony's back story, before even coming to TECH, is pretty amazing when you think about it.
There is no better way to go through life than with an amazing partner in marriage. Okay, just because my wife did happen to be looking over my shoulder doesn't make it any less true.
TM's development at QB is nothing but a positive thing for our program. Who knows where he is headed. He could become a starter or he could get swallowed up in the depth chart. Either way, having capable people at that position is a huge insurance policy for the entire program. This is really...
What's more: if you don't get anything more out of a scholarship player than a walk on in terms of talent, why use a scholarship? Numbers at the position group are the numbers whether there is a scholly involved or not. If you use a scholarship it better be to secure an elevated talent...
If you ask me, going over 14 ( maybe 15 absolute tops) is not really wise. OL players aren't worth much on most special teams. When you have more numbers at other positions they can help a lot on special teams where cover speed matters. Plus, OL players typically can play more than one position...
Not that I remember. We had a lack of speed in general at the AB spot after the injuries last year, but I don't remember anybody expressing concerns over LG's speed. He is not a burner. He won't run 4.3 or 4.4, but he is not slow either. I remember him putting together some pretty good runs...
IMHO the notion that CPJ is motivated by a fear of losing his job is way off base. He is a competitor, bottom line. That is his motivation. If he is unhappy with something, he is going to say he is unhappy. That has always been his approach to the media and it hasn't changed, whether in a good...
I don't know about you guys but I am excited about LG at AB. Last season, by my eye, he was the best guy (we had playing at the end of the season) at getting something out of nothing with the ball in his hands. He didn't always know what he was doing, but that is understandable. I always felt as...
We were competitive in 2015, as bad as it was record-wise. We just had a knack for ending up on the short end. While I agree that we were worse in almost every sense on offense, we were still competitive enough, even with injuries to have been a bowl team. We just didn't get it done.
The line depth is always a little thin in the spring. The replacements don't show up until July. It seems there is always a player or two coming off surgery and the entire senior class gone. This year is no different.
I loved Al Ciraldo and I will always remember his voice and his style, but let's be honest, when you listened to his call, you never really knew what was going on in the game until KK cleared things up. He would make a two yard dump off sound like a 40 yard completion. The yard lines were often...
Of course it is a factor. However, it is not an excuse either, if you get my drift. Despite the conditions, he could have handled/protected the ball better and made better decisions. When you think about it, he kept the ball so much in that game that the ball really didn't get "handled" that...
Jordan was pretty effective running the offense against Miami. He was very decisive and aggressive. Obviously you can't overlook the fumbles, but he did move the ball quite well.
I thought Keshun Freeman looked bigger in the recent pictures from the first day of practice. I'm not sitting in class with him, but I dare say he has added some thickness to his upper body. His first two years he had the lower body of a 250 pounder and the upper body of a 220 pounder. That no...
I would be totally surprised if Cottrell didn't regain every bit of his speed and agility, shocked in fact. Pretty much everybody who works at it does. The only real question for me is the time it will take for it to happen, not IF it will happen. About the fastest full recovery you will see is...
