    Stats Program Strength

Over 8 seasons CPJ has had us play in two Orange Bowls, winning one, and three ACCCGs, winning one. How many other coaches in our conference have done that well? For being so bad, there seem to be a ton of coaches who are a heck of a lot worse. Pick any conference and ask yourself the same...

Post-2016 NFL Draft - GT Players

It will be interesting to see who sticks on rosters. It will be uphill sledding for most. Of those who have received offers or have been drafted to date here is my 2 cents in terms of percent chance: Gotsis: 98%. Denver didn't use a second round pick for no reason. They are really high on him...

I'm pretty sure defenses don't like it. That is probably the most important thing.

Post-2016 NFL Draft - GT Players

Interesting to me too. Will he end up another Gary Guyton type player? Marcordes runs well and appears to have a good head on his shoulders. He could stick. We can't underestimate the impact of taking the academic peice off the shoulders of our kids, enabling them to work at football undistracted.

Post-2016 NFL Draft - GT Players

Milton will make the roster. I feel about 90% sure of that. He brings a lot of value to a team. Even if he doesn't win a starting spot at CB, he will be a standout in coverage units on special teams and he has been a really good kick blocker over his career. He will have a FULL TIME job now...

    Offensive Guards

I just spent some time with the spring game tape watching only two people, Shamire Devine and Will Bryan. I had a blast doing it, I must add. I did this primarily because I have been worried about the position. Was Shamire going to be too slow at this weight? Is Will out of position on the...

    Spring game 2016

I see playmakers everywhere but WR. That (WR) may change over time. I'm not sure what you don't see. OL is a project and experiment at this point, but there is some ability. It is not that bad. Take a deep breath.

    Spring game 2016

The passing, in general, by every QB, was terrible. I am not reading too much into it.

    Spring game 2016

Get this: I watched the game on ESPN3 last night in my room at the Days Inn in the cesspool. That entire town reeks and is full of less than intelligent people. Every place you go has red an black everywhere. I vomited in my mouth about six times. In any case, it was an important event for me...

No. I'm not sure. It's just a feeling from reading the list.

Spring Practice 2016 News & Notes

In terms of MLD to WR, in my mind it is a mixed bag. Mikell showed really soft hands last year. He is very comfortable catching the football. Of this I feel sure. He also showed me that we could shake LBs right down to their core with very physical blocks up high. He doesn't need to cut a guy to...

    spring game roll call!

I will........'gulp'............sadly...............not be able to attend the spring game. What is worse................'gulp'...............'gulp'...........is that ..................I will actually be at the cesspool Saturday for something totally unrelated. Can you imagine? I will be wearing...

    AJC Article on OLine shifts

Good question. Fromayan has done some good things at times, but I don't think he has been starter material to this point. Like most of us, he is a work in progress, and hopefully he is working. Obviously, at this point, his contributions are hugely important.

Opinion question about the Georgia Tech quarterback situation 2017

As far as all the QB depth chart juggling is concerned, the situation on the roster this last year was very fluid to say the least. MJ going to AB was strongly influenced by Byerly being a solid #2 if not #1b. He went down and then we were exposed. You could maybe make the argument that Taquon...

    AJC Article on OLine shifts

The most interesting and yet perplexing move for me is Bryan to guard. I have zero doubt he will be great pulling. He was really good in space last year as an OT. We need his quickness some at OG with scoops and pulls and such, but a huge physical presence is at a premium at that position while...

How many games to you think the Jackets win in 2016?

It won't take a miracle for us to have another Orange Bowl type season, just like it didn't take a miracle for us to fall to 3-9 last season. I won't bore you with another rant (don't worry 'Cuse). Flea 77 is right, you gotta believe you will win every time. That, and, you can only win them one...

Opinion question about the Georgia Tech quarterback situation 2017

Man, there is so much water to go under the bridge between now and then with sooo many unknowns, how can anybody really speculate with any degree of certainty? What do we know now? We know Matthew Jordan made a big jump between 2014 and 2015. He is physical and he can throw. Like many who have...

12 practice slow motion video from interview video

You have to like how Mills handles contact. He can get that center of gravity very low while still having control of his body. He gives you very little to hit and can still cut with his shoulder pads seemingly right on top of his thigh pads. If you contrast that with someone like Skov from last...
