Nesbit was a bull. Paul got so luck having him as the first QB. He made a lot out of nothing so many times during that first year. Him and Jonathan were ideal for the first year of that offense. If he hadn't regressed so badly in the passing game, he could have put Ham like numbers.Like I keep saying, he has the main qualification: he can run. All the rest is gravy.
When he takes over next year - and I expect him to - we'll look more the Nesbitt teams. I just hope Jordan can get to a 90% Nesbitt level by then.
The passing was certainly Nesbitt's weak point. He had such a strong arm too.Nesbit was a bull. Paul got so luck having him as the first QB. By "but it's a lot different" I am not saying the MJ can't handle it, just that we won't know until the "real" stuff starts flying around.IIRC MJ has a decent arm... but it's a lot different when "real" bullets start flying.
I believe he could be a 50%+ passer in this system, which is rare as hens teeth.Like I keep saying, he has the main qualification: he can run. All the rest is gravy.

I hope he's as good in goal line situations as Byerly. I actually felt more confident with Byerly under center from the 1 than JeT.
Is Rebel the QB follow?First, I agree, I did too, second this is what paul is saying, short yardage runner/specialty. Matt looks bigger than 208 to me. I think he will be the Rebel specialist....
