  1. USF Postgame Discussion

It was an oddly officiated game. My biggest complaint is that USF was routinely blocking downfield prior to the ball being caught on those bubble screens. That is offensive PI, yet it was only flagged once that I can recall.
  2. Defense

That QB could have been contained by the DL if we called off the stunts. Live and learn.
  3. Defense

I always love the way you think, stech....
  4. Defense

It's definitely different from a 4-3 with DT's in the 1 and 3 techniques. Our nose is usually at the 1, with both DE's in a 5. The LB on the LOS is in a 7 or 9. It's still clearly a 1-gap 4-3 scheme that stunts a whole bunch. Today there were several occasions where it was clear that...
  5. Defense

From what I've seen, we are primarily running a 1-gap 4-3 system that stunts a whole bunch under Woody. The fact that one of those 4 is called a LB is kind of irrelevant in terms of scheme. There was definitely confusion today wrt to gap integrity. That needs to be cleaned up.
  6. Where does College BB go from here

This is an indication that the remark sufficiently captures the NCAA sleight of hand shell game. Go ahead and like... ;)
  7. Where does College BB go from here

I seriously doubt that this will result in any transformational changes within the NCAA. The NCAA leadership was not blindsided by this information. This will force the NCAA to hand down sanctions to their most coveted revenue generating programs, but when the dust settles it will be business...
  8. Article Wed against ND is 'Level Up Night"

And when we do get to the tourney, let us think for a moment before awarding a contract that automatically extends twelve months with each passing year.
  9. What's up with Jumpman?

  10. The National Championship Game

I wouldn't count Bama out yet.
  11. Jordan Tucker....

The ACC intra-conference transfer policy basically precludes him from his 2nd and 3rd choices at this stage. Call me cynical, but I figured that was K's primary motive when he swooped in at the last minute.
  12. 12/30 - GT @ ND

I didn't read what Ken wrote, but both of those guys are toxic liabilities defensively, and neither come close to making up for it on the offensive end. Until one of them can either learn to play D, or provide point-a-minute offense, I wouldn't look for either to get serious minutes in ACC play.
  13. 12/30 - GT @ ND

Haywood is definitely missed. My guess is that by season's end Lammers, Josh, Tadric, Haywood, and Alvarado dominate minutes played. Those are the only five we have on the roster that one can make a serious argument about being ACC caliber players for the 2017-18 season.
  14. TD Roof to Transfer

Agree on all points, it looks to be a perfectly logical choice from both football and academic perspectives. I wish TD nothing but success on both fronts going forward!
  15. Okogie and next season

I appreciate CJP's efforts to do what it takes to get into the conversation with elite recruits. Unfortunately, he seems lost at the game without the infrastructure of a program like Memphis...
  16. Article Georgia Tech vs Wright State

The defensive rotations have been late and lackadaisical all season long. Some of that is freshmen not knowing what to do, but a big part of that is guys with experience not hustling. Hope CJP is able to fix things on that end because that is the only reason we were able to compete last...
  17. Georgia Postgame

Yep, their game plan was to spread us out and count on their OL dominating our DL. That was the biggest mismatch in this contest, and they exploited it.
  18. Duke post game

The back end of this defense is terrible in zone coverage. The Duke OL is terrible at picking up stunts and blitzes. So we decide to zone them up on ~80% of the snaps today? I knew CTR as a fellow student during my time at Tech, I tutored him on what they called math for management back in the...
