  1. Virginia postgame discussion

I think having no rotation on the interior DL played a big role in this game. Glanton is not a 1-technique...full stop. To ask him to play more than 90% of 68 snaps at the 1-tech borders on the absurd. I think Desmond played every one of those 68 snaps at the 3-technique (and he's a natural...
  2. Virginia postgame discussion

A lot of stuff happened in this game, but for me the difference came down to their ability to pick up our blitzes, and our inability to pick up theirs. Their long completions were all made when we were blitzing them, and they gave their QB plenty of time to make the accurate throws required to...
  3. Miami Postgame

When we were getting repeatedly raped by gift-wrapped bubble screens, I wanted one of our backers sitting 8 yards off the LOS to go rogue and jump the route pre-snap. I pleaded for it, I prayed for it. Come on Ted, you are better than than this....

  6. Memphis Tigers Disbelief

I want no part of either of those kids and their pimp daddy. I have zero doubt that CJP learned a valuable lesson about that sort of recruitment. Doubt he ever dips into that well again.
  7. March Madness Group

We beat the Cheat Sports books rarely throw a fat pitch like this, so you have to go big when they do. CJP often said that our BasketJackets have no margin for error. The Cheaters had a huge margin for error in this one. On a night where they couldn't hit an open J, or a FT for that matter...
  8. March Madness Group

Got UNC +155 on a live book in that first half. Looked like great value to these eyes.
  9. Coaching Carousel 2 - A New Dawn

I didn't either, figured he would be untouchable. Did the documentary present new evidence or something? Very odd situation...
  10. Coaching Carousel 2 - A New Dawn

I relocated here about 5 years ago and the position being in Austin was a major plus in the pro/con decision equation. It is a neat place indeed and this will be my final landing spot.
  11. March Madness Group

It's not the first time I've had an interesting take - and I could be dead wrong, but I see Meeks, Bradley, Berry and (obviously) Jackson making rosters. The only guy I see on the Zags playing in the league is Collins, and he would be a major project if drafted this spring. Roy isn't getting...
  12. March Madness Group

UNC has a big time talent edge going into this game, but Roy has been less than impressive going against teams that know how to play defense. The Zags know defense. My guess (hope) is that one of Roy's 6 or 7 future NBA players will make him look like a good coach come Monday evening.
  13. 2017 NIT Championship Game

I didn't like our chances going into this game, but I sure didn't foresee a beat down like this. We have four more scholarships to give for next season so that will make for an interesting spring for GT basketball. The pace of the rebuild will depend a lot on how the next couple of months go...
  14. 8 seed california bakersfield vs 6 seed gt in the final 4 of the nit

That absolutely should have been a flagrant 2. The fact that Rod Barnes was arguing the call instead of reprimanding the kid is telling.
  15. Coaching Carousel 2 - A New Dawn

Stiff is one word... If those numbers are correct, it really doesn't make much financial sense for an up-and-coming coach to get their brains bashed in by hall of fame coaches running blue-blood programs in a mega-conference like the ACC. It seems the move these days is to make a name for...
  16. GT @ Ole Miss

Think I'd rather face UT-Arlington. That Bakersfield team hit a bunch of deep 3's against Colorado State and they really get after it on defense. We will be heavily favored against either, but that Bakersfield team looks more dangerous than UT-Arlington.

Georgia Tech’s Josh Pastner Doing His Best Coaching Job Yet
  18. GT @ Ole Miss

Neither Pastner nor Kennedy will publicly acknowledge it, but the fact that the winner of tomorrow's game faces either UT-Arlington or Cal State Bakersfield in Madison Square Garden amplifies the significance of the game in Oxford.
  19. GT @ Ole Miss

Watching Colorado State and Cal State Bakersfield has me thinking we are playing for a spot in the NIT championship game tomorrow night. That is some bad basketball right there.
  20. GT @ Ole Miss

I think this team is playing its best basketball of the season. That week off ahead of Indiana seems to have done wonders for getting their legs back underneath them. I think we just saw the two best games we've played all year - both defensively and offensively. Going on the road against an...
