  1. March Madness Group

The good news is that Ole Miss has every reason to look beyond Tuesday's game. It was only two weeks ago that they took down the South Carolina team that knocked out the Duke team that drilled us earlier in the season. They also won at Syracuse where we got our butts handed to us a week prior...
  2. March Madness Group

Rings true. And when K hangs it up, Duke will revert back to what they were before he took over the program. ;)
  3. March Madness Group

If Belmont is watching these games, they won't be intimidated.
  4. March Madness Group

We are witnessing an ACC face plant.
  5. March Madness Group

I agree, it's clear from Pastner's quotes over the past few months that this season has been an eye opening experience for him about the value of coachable kids.
  6. March Madness Group

Remarkable how a team with FSU's athleticism and length can play such poor defense. This game looks to be over with 10 minutes remaining as the ACC goes from less than impressive to crapping the bed.
  7. March Madness Group

Shocking for a crew to miss something that obvious.
  8. GT@Home vs Belmont

That Terrence Davis kid for Ole Miss was in a zone today. Hope that zone is elusive for him if we are fortunate enough to play in Oxford on Tuesday.
  9. March Madness Group

I had ND running deap too - Final Four deep. My ACC homer bracket is looking shaky at the moment.
  10. March Madness Group

Because our 8 & 9 seeds took double digit losses. Our two 5-seeds squeaked by in games that could have gone either way. Our 3-seed was never able to assume complete control against Gulf Coast. And Wake in the 11-seed play-in game, allowed K-State to shoot 80% on 2-point FG attempts. Not bad...
  11. March Madness Group

Less than an impressive start for the ACC in this tournament.
  12. GT@Home vs Belmont

    Upper level is available.
  13. March Madness Group

Could be worse. I once submitted a bracket that saw both of my championship teams ousted in the first round.
  14. March Madness Group

In with an ACC homer bracket - 7 in the Elite Eight o_O
  15. Postseason Chances?

This team fits the bill for setting a new NIT low-RPI record because GT will tower over the entire field in quality wins. FWIW, bracket matrix had us in as a 4-seed before losing to Pitt.
  16. Postseason Chances?

NYC Buckets NIT bracketology has us as a 4-seed after last night's loss.
  17. Postseason Chances?

On ESPN last night, Joe Lunardi said that the selection committee has been prioritizing quality wins in recent years. Currently, the only teams with more RPI top-25 wins than GT are FSU, UNC, Duke, and Kansas.
  18. @NC State

In the 35 years that I've closely followed GT hoops, this is the best coached team I've seen. It starts with defense, these kids play solid man D, but can seamlessly switch to extremely effective 2-3 and 1-3-1 zones to mess with the minds of our opponents. That, all by itself, boggles the...
  19. Clemson

It's difficult for me to imagine coming across a more succinct and accurate description of the reasons behind our surprising season thus far. Wish the print media that covers GT athletics could possess such skill.
