  1. Ok we are 3-3 so what concerns you the most ( any thing but the coaches)

Because it is an illusion. We are a long way from having competitive offensive and defensive lines. Fix those and we will have a good team. Don't fix those things and the inconsistent play continues.
  2. Ok we are 3-3 so what concerns you the most ( any thing but the coaches)

If you cannot see that a team that struggles to beat Duke, which struggled mightily against Kansas is simply a long way from 5-1 then I am not sure I can help you.
  3. Ok we are 3-3 so what concerns you the most ( any thing but the coaches)

Disagree. We lost to Northern Illinois, that should never happen, we lost to Clemson which was handicapped by a dysfunctional quarterback, and we lost decisively to Pitt.. We were very fortunate last week that Cut foolishly chose to play it safe and attempt two field goals that were missed...
  4. Sims=Bilbo

That post corner route run by McGowan was a thing of beauty.
  5. Sims=Bilbo

Disagree with the comparison to Bilbo. They are not the same kind of player. I know Sims can be maddeningly inconsistent and he went a long stretch of missing receivers and not making first downs in the Duke game but with the ball game on the line, he and Sanders made the plays. Cut chose to...
  6. What area needs to be improved the most

He was just about perfect for the triple option. A former defensive tackle walk on who would be in someone's grill before they could take more than a step.
  7. Ok we are 3-3 so what concerns you the most ( any thing but the coaches)

Upon review of the Miami board, I think we can beat Miami and possibly BC which would be a reasonable expectation for 5 wins. Miami is, as usual, in absolute chaos with King out and Manny flailing around. Coach Collins is a Saban clone compared to that guy so things could be a whole lot worse.
  8. Ok we are 3-3 so what concerns you the most ( any thing but the coaches)

I disagree. We will be underdogs in every game. We have passed through the "easy" part of the schedule. Miami, Virginia Tech, Virginia, Notre Dame, UGA would be a tough row for most teams like Tech, perhaps not for Alabama. I am holding to my preseason projection of 4 wins. We could win...
  9. What area needs to be improved the most

Could be but a two star Shaq unfortunately, is the exception not the rule. I contend that recruiting backs and receivers is easier because there are more good ones that cannot be hoarded by the factories. We have lots of offensive linemen on the depth chart but most of them are freshmen or...
  10. What area needs to be improved the most

Oh? Miami fan sites not available? TIC
  11. What area needs to be improved the most

Getting really good linemen, according to my Florida friends on Gator Bait, is what separates the elite football teams from the wannabes, the also rans, and the doormats. They are generally not well coached in high school, often times are big enough but not quick enough, not the right body...
  12. What area needs to be improved the most

None of the above. The correct answer is the same as was obvious to most observers from last year. Improvement on both lines is of paramount importance. Want to be a "player" for bowls? Want to be recognized nationally? Want to win the Coastal and challenge Clemson? Improve the lines...
  13. #GTvsDUKE Postgame

Unfortunately, it is experienced and very good at pass blocking but this is a team that Tech can beat. It is also a team that can score in a hurry. We don't need a track meet, a game in the twenties would do just fine for us. That said, this is the same team that gave up 59 points to UNC...
  14. #GTvsDUKE Postgame

Nope...which is why it is so much fun and causes so much anguish. Watching Georgia Tech is not for the faint of heart to be sure.
  15. #GTvsDUKE Postgame

In the not too distant past, most college football games WOULD have been over but those days are gone for good. Any team, in any game, is likely to go off on offense at any time. It is the state of the game these days. The quarterbacks and receivers are so good that defensive backs are almost...
  16. #GTvsDUKE Postgame

This is precisely the kind of game we used to win, albeit with much lower scoring, in Dodd's day. The only stats that matter are the wins and losses. That said, this is a team that Kansas, yes that one, hung with for the better part of three quarters. In other words, Duke is not good, nor...
  17. 2021 ACC and Competition News

From casually following Canes In Sight board, of the four only Richt is held in high esteem by Miami fans. They do not much care then or now for Shannon or Golden but the hate for Manny is off the charts along with their disdain for the AD who hired him. "40 blue chips"? I bet if Coach...
  18. Tech favored over Duke

I think we would be as Duke has been turnover prone the last couple of years and the rain will slow down their star running back.
  19. Tech favored over Duke

Statistics mean nothing compared to wins and losses. "Play ball" with that. Offense is going great between the 20s just like last year. The defense is still not getting push up front just like last year. We are still irrelevant in the ACC much less nationally, just like last year. Win...
  20. Tech favored over Duke

2 wins and 3 losses are now a "sign of improvement"? Strange times we live in.
